In New England, less than 3% of energy came from wind, solar, & batteries combined...oil was the #1 source of electricity because they have a shortage of pipeline capacity to bring much lower-cost and much-cleaner natural gas into New England. We have to get the Constitution Pipeline built. That will lower costs, protect lives & grow economic opportunities. -- U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Fox News

Building off today’s incredible ground breaking for NESE pipeline to deliver natural gas to millions of New Yorkers, those in Albany who have been blocking Constitution Pipeline need to wake up tomorrow with an enlightened and motivated focus to reverse their opposition and help get that pipeline over the finish line as well to deliver natural gas to millions of New Englanders.

President Trump, THE BUILDER IN CHIEF, just delivered a MONSTER new affordable natural gas pipeline into New York called NESE! Many New Yorkers have been permanently fleeing the state every day in search of a better future where their money goes further. This makes today’s announcement extra welcome news for all of the families reaching their breaking point and desperate for relief.

Following last year’s Inauguration, at my first meeting with President Trump and his new National Energy Dominance Council, the President was crystal clear in his direction to us that he wanted the NESE pipeline approved and built immediately, and at Trump Speed. Now, thanks to his leadership, MILLIONS of downstate New Yorkers will have access to this affordable, reliable NATURAL GAS that for too long they were being denied.

.Secretary Chris Wright: "We want to help every state, but it is political choices that leaders make that make energy expensive...New England states have a crazy high electricity price for one reason—they blocked a natural gas pipeline that would go from Pennsylvania through NY state."

Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, not only have all permits been secured for the NESE pipeline to deliver natural gas to over 2 million downstate New Yorkers, but ground has already been broken, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. I was in Nassau County, New York, today where local leaders have been working hard with the Trump Admin to deliver affordable natural gas to Long Island families and businesses.

Constitution Pipeline would deliver affordable, durable natural gas from Pennsylvania, through New York, and on to millions of New Englanders who desperately need it and have been relying on foreign energy sources and higher prices. Bizarrely, NY Governor Kathy Hochul has been yet again rejecting basic common sense and blocking this vital project. The pipeline is so critical for the region to get built!

.Secretary Chris Wright on the NESE Pipeline groundbreaking: If you look at the states booming in the U.S., they have growing energy supplies. The states that have stagnated have shrinking energy supplies. Unfortunately, NY is in the latter, but it shouldn’t be. This is a step forward.

What makes more sense? A 100-mile natural gas pipeline from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts that would immediately lower energy costs OR a massive wind farm 500 miles out in the Atlantic off the coast of Canada, plus a 700-mile transmission line through Maine and New Hampshire to deliver electricity that’s more expensive? Governor Healey is choosing the wind farm to appease climate activists. I’d choose the option that’s efficient, affordable, and actually helps Massachusetts families and businesses – the natural gas pipeline.

Every politician says New York is the greatest city in the world. But what good is that if no one can afford to live here? I'm running for Mayor to lower the cost of living for working class New Yorkers. Join the fight.

PREMIER SMITH: "This is the greatest expansion of pipelines that we have seen in decades." From a new West Coast oil pipeline to major expansions with Enbridge, Trans Mountain, South Bow, Pembina, and ATCO, we are advancing hundreds of billions in new capacity and getting the job done.
