When touched, Davis drew a .40-caliber handgun, fired, and wounded two officers. The boyfriend fired six rounds at an officer but missed, then was shot twice by police. No charges were filed due to the chaos, and he was released from the hospital. Davis fled, shot a third officer, and was eventually fatally shot by return fire from that officer and a fourth behind cover. Two officers were released from the hospital; one remains in treatment for severe injuries.

At least two teens have been taken into custody after a federal police chase from Washington DC ended near Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland 🚨 US Park Police initially attempted to pull the car over in northwest Washington DC along Connecticut Ave NW. The driver fled, at which point a pursuit was authorized. The suspects fled across the Washington DC line into Chevy Chase, at which points they got onto I-495 and exited onto Colesville Road, where they crashed near University Blvd. At least two of the suspects who fled on foot have been apprehended. WATCH: Bodycam footage shows the attempted murder of a Montgomery County police officer in Montgomery Village, Maryland last week🚨 The suspect, identified as 27 year-old Andre Duvall of Germantown, can be seen firing at officers around a blind corner during a foot chase through the Cider Mill Apartments on Lost Knife Circle. Duvall misses, while officers take cover and return fire, striking the suspect. He has since been released from the hospital and taken into custody. Maryland court records show Duvall had an extensive criminal history and had been prohibited from carrying firearms due to previous felony convictions. He is now charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and other weapons charges and is held without bond. Fortunately, no officers were injured in the incident. A handgun was recovered from the scene.

Larry Snelling said in an update. Multiple suspects are in custody. CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police officer was shot and killed Thursday evening on the South Side, CPD officials said. The incident happened at East 82nd Street and South Drexel Avenue in Chatham. While Chicago police officers were conducting an investigatory stop at the location, a suspect fled into a nearby apartment building, CPD Superintendent Larry Snelling said during a a.m. news conference Friday. The officers pursued the suspect into the building, where they encountered a different suspect who was armed with a rifle, Snelling said. The suspect fired the rifle, and an officer also shot their weapon during the incident. A 36-year-old female officer was shot and was taken to the University of Chicago hospital in a squad car, officials told ABC7. She later died due to her injuries, Snelling said. The deceased officer's name was not yet released. She was with the department for four years at the 6th District and was a mother, Snelling said. Multiple people were taken into custody after the shooting, Snelling said. Charges are pending as police investigate. No other injuries were reported. A large police presence could be seen by ABC7's crews near the location of the shooting late Thursday evening. The suspect took off, at which point USPP officers initiated a pursuit. The suspect then wrecked into a tree on Kenilworth Ave NE, (which runs along the highway) at which point he ran across the highway and was struck by a uninvolved driver on the northbound lanes of DC-295 prior to Eastern Ave. The male has been transported by DC Fire and EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening, although reportedly serious.
