Second Chances on YouTube

“Second Chance” implies those creators who lost their channels did something wrong. In many cases YouTube has made a mistake, not the creator

Can you look into Andrew Tate’s YouTube channel? He was banned and censored in 2022, he deserves a second chance and immediate reinstatement as he did nothing wrong and DID NOT violate any tos or rules.

So the same broken AI that wrongfully banned us will now decide if we “deserve” a second chance? 😂 Fix your reckless AI moderation first.

“We’ve learned from the YT community….” Then goes onto say YouTube is offering creators to LEARN (as if ALL creators broke T’s & C’s) and get a second chance as if YT did nothing wrong themselves with their blanket AI terminations of channels, that also came due to government pressure. Don’t think that rhetoric will go down too well with channels who had their livelihoods removed due to narratives and government intervention on the platform.. What do those creators learn? That government pressure and narratives dictate your policies? You guys yourselves need to own your mistakes publicly before you can be 100% trusted again because all i hear is is a billion dollar company with egg on its face trying to wipe it off with nobody catching on.

Hi @YouTubeInsider, can i expect my chance of appeal after 1 year of my channel termination as my channel terminated due to spam, deceptive practice and spam policy?

YouTube needs you and you and you.... YouTube needs more and more YouTube video creators.... YouTube cannot survive without numerous hard working video creators .... An I right?

A few years ago, I had to delete the brand account for my terminated channel to access my older channels and download content I had made a decade ago. I did it because I didn't know what the fate of those memories would be. So, I don't have access to my originally terminated channel, but I would qualify for this, given that I was banned for reporting on elections in 2021, a policy that was reversed in 2023.

If you're acknowledging, that you (YouTube) needs to turn a new leaf, why should creators have to go in and request a review? Just do the damn review on your own YouTube. You already know the accounts and channels you've suspended. Do a review and then send out a notification to the creator on the outcome. If you sent a notification to the creator that you've reviewed their suspended channel, and that you're rescinding the ban, then maybe they'll come back. This is a cringey way to get engagement and bait creators to start over from scratch so you can pull the rug again. And, it's a way for you to contain people in the fences they've built for themselves. Creators may be better off creating completely brand new (burner) google/youtube profiles and starting over from scratch that way.

There is just a lot of things wrong with this place. The algorithm still doesn’t help small channels or promote free ideas

I don’t need to restore my terminated channel - that’s not my goal. However, I would like the restrictions on my other existing channels to be lifted. They are still active, but I avoid uploading new videos because I’m afraid they might get removed due to the ban connected with the terminated channel. Will this pilot program help in such a case? Or is it mandatory to create a new channel through the program first, in order for all restrictions and bans to be lifted (assuming I’m accepted into the program)? Thanks.

Why don’t you give their original channel and subscribers back. This welcome back is a slap in the face and you have no trust established that your left wing crazy radical corporate overlords won’t just…. Change policy’s cause they don’t like an opinion.

I don't need any second chance; please reinstate my terminated channel. I never violated any rules. If your system is not good, change it and tell a human to review all the terminated channels again.

Not going to lie all of the reasons just sound like something where the channel should be unbanned and the content that broke the TOS removed.

How about channels that mine that were demonetized because someone decided to viewbot? I have evidence but apparently in the appeal form, there is no way to attach a video to prove it.
