Tesla Robotaxi stops for a man who veered off the sidewalk and onto the road as Joe Tegtmeyer 🚀 🤠🛸😎 and I were approaching Zilker Park earlier today. The stop was smooth and our Tesla Robotaxi allowed him to get back on the sidewalk and continue with our journey. This man is likely oblivious to what the team at Tesla AI did for him today.

Another 1st time experience with Tesla Robotaxi, this time with Alvaro who came in with his friend dom from Salt Lake City, Utah to give it a try! Alvaro is not very familiar with Tesla or autonomous driving, so he tried out all of the various ride hailing options here in Austin to get a good baseline for comparison. He tried a human-driven Uber, a few Waymo autonomous drives & the Tesla_AI autonomously driven Tesla Robotaxi & he has some very interesting and insightful observations! At the end of the day what did he conclude? Check it out!

Tesla's robotaxi saved me on Austin Road. Waymo's vehicle entered the road at a steeper angle than expected, but Tesla's unsupervised Robotaxi detected it early and performed a Collision Avoidance Assist. My girlfriend and I were very surprised at the moment, but we felt safer thanks to the quick response related to the safety of the robotaxi. Thank you! Tesla Robotaxi

Here’s a great comparison between how Tesla Tesla Robotaxi handles the arrival at Terry Black’s BBQ restaurant and Waymo car (see link below thanks Herbert Ong & Chuck Cook ) attempting the same thing but with different results. Bottom line: the Tesla completed the task in a very natural, human-like way while the Waymo abandons the attempt and drops off the passengers at a busy intersection. Which would you want to ride in?

Watch this Supervised Robotaxi attempt to squeeze through a very tight gap. Its tire appears to touch another car, forcing the supervisor to intervene. Dirty Tesla reported that the supervisor then had to drive the Robotaxi away manually. Ban it now!
