@pedigreeupdate He died on the day Phar Lap was born 100 years ago. Both were known as big Red. Incarnate?????

I must re-read William Nack's "Pure Heart" which was originally published in Sports Illustrated so many years ago. Mr. Nack's poignantly written account of the day Secretariat died is one for the ages.

最高の怪物ホース。三冠レースのレコードいまだに全て セクレタリアート。何故か負けた事あるのが不思議

A legend. The GOAT. So glad to have been able to witness greatness. What a stunning beauty chestnut he was. He could sprint, run distance, run on dirt or turf. Set world records in the process. His versatility as a race horse is unmatched. That’s what makes him the greatest. 🏇🥰

@GrrlScientist God he was beautiful!!

"He is moving like a tremendous machine."

There will never be another like him. ❤️

Great post. Thank you. The greatest of all time! ♥️🐎

He knew who he was. ❤️

What a brilliant boy!

He was magnificent.

your boy @mj196410

Amazing Horse!

The horse that God built.

Big Red...the GOAT. An amazing read is "The Horse God Built" about Secretariat and his groom, Eddie Sweat...a must-read for any horse-racing or Big Red fan. @horsevault

Big Red…Heart like a freight train !

Truelove

The groom is brushing him right outside of his stall. He was first on the right as you came into the barn. The stalls had a lot of the finished wood that you see there. The barn was fairly dark inside.

At least he knew his right lead 😩

💖Together with Man o' War, Secretariat has my whole heart.

Big Red! Shiny like a copper penny. His bloodline still lives on today.✨🤗✨

Big Red, what a beautiful horse he was!🥰

💙💙💙👑🥇

BIG RED❤️❤️❤️

What a horse and back story
