Howard Lutnick just laid out the whole tariff argument in one sentence. 👀🇺🇸 “These are your 232 tariffs — the steel tariffs — at work.” His claim is that without those tariffs, the new Minnesota mine and Iowa steel plant wouldn't get built. And then he basically said: “We're gonna be so rich.” 😂💰 That's the theory: Protect the domestic market. Make American production more competitive. Build the mine. Build the steel plant. Create the jobs. Keep more of the supply chain here. Now comes the test: does that investment actually deliver more production, more jobs and lower dependence on foreign steel? That’s where the numbers will tell the story. 🏭🇺🇸

@howardlutnick LOL. Because of steel tariffs, pricing is up 100-125% for small manufacturers. This is absolutely needed as the domestic mills do not have the capacity to supply the American market. We just paid $1.56 / pound for a steel plate product that was $.65 / pound last year this time.
