@SecMullinDHS Most flyers going to hate this. Prior to 9/11 security protocols there was nothing worse than when you were trying to get off a plane and it took forever to get off because waves of non-flyers greeted people right at the walkway door completely stopping everyone getting off.

Not sure what's new about it. Been doing this for young travelers/unaccompanied minors for at least 20 yrs. Every time I took one of my kids to the airport to go visit my folks I'd get a gate pass, take them to the gate and wait for takeoff. Folks would do the same at the other end.

FINALLY! Solving air travels real emergency: gates that weren't already crowed enough. Nothing says “better passenger experience” like deplaning after a flight full of people who packed like they’re relocating a village, only to immediately body check a welcoming committee of greeters blocking the jetway. This genius idea was clearly designed by someone who hasn’t flown commercial in 20 years. Peak government innovation at work here.

@SecMullinDHS It’s already too crowded going through gates and TSA. There are back ups in pre check. There are back ups in ticketing and at the kiosks. JUST WHY?? Dont add more people. They can meet people as they exit into baggage claim. Leave it at that
