This was one of my favorite projects in my 20+ years as a performance coach. At the time, he didn’t have an agent, he didn’t have the funds to pay for training, but he believed in himself and that was enough to get him a chance! George just finished up his 10th season in the NFL. I’d say he made a good decision passing up the opportunity to be a pro basketball player overseas! God’s glory.

On the day that the Cincinnati Bengals announce their blockbuster deal with Ja’Marr Chase, I got a story … In 2021, Chase hit a rough patch in camp with drops. It was a big story at the time, the kind that blow up in the summer. DON’T COACH THE MISTAKE. COACH THE INTENTION. ⚽️ A line to reflect on. Of course not always, but more than not often. There’s a powerful coaching lesson in something Pep Guardiola speaks about. So…….I recently discovered that WNBA Referees are independent contractors who are paid on a per-game basis. They earn $1,500-$2,500 per game, with no benefits. NBA Referees are full-time, unionized employees who earn SALARIES of $250,000-$550,000 annually with full benefits and PENSIONS. ————————————————- So…….I’m watching this Atlanta Dream game last night.
