The body movements of Anime characters in Seedance doesn’t has to be always rigid and constrained. They can be as expressive as the real anime too. Here’s a quick tips on how to achieve the cartoony acting style for your anime characters: Special shoutout to Ameilo for sharing the prompt that unlocked this acting style. This tips sharing is made possible by Try ArtCraft Add this Key Prompt above your prompt: Emphasize snappy animation with lively energy, pose-to-pose, strong anticipation, overshoot, squash and stretch, quick switches in facial expressions, and follow-through on hair and sleeves. Give the movements a distinctive rhythm with variation in pacing: Hold still poses firmly for a split second, then transition to the next movement with a quick, bouncy snap. This is one of my turntables for Bumblebee's damage variant from Transformers Rise of the Beasts. We use renders like these to critique our work on the characters in a sterile environment before putting them into shots. Normally, fans don't get to see these behind the scenes looks at our characters, but I convinced the marketing team to also include this turntable in the official breakdown for the film as I think it is super cool to see how the characters are made and brought to life. I have so much behind the scenes work to share about Transformers but unfortunately 99% of it is under NDA so the odds are that no one else will ever see them, as unfortunate as that is.

I didn’t have enough time to fully test Seedance 2.0 with cartoon styles, but I made an attempt here using an image generated in Midjourney, and the result is promising, though somewhat incomplete. Since Hara Kiris are now public knowledge, here's a little bit of info: Almost all characters have one, all DLC have them except for Conan. We don't know if they're cut content or upcoming content but they exist in the files with full animations and sequences.

There's a popular rumor that storyboards completely ruin character consistency in AI animation. Well, yes and no. 😅 For this video, I generated myself in a bright new look, created a sketch storyboard in GPT Image 2, and animated it with Seedance 2.0. From my experience, if your storyboard is in hyper-realism, the likeness definitely tends to drift. But if you keep it strictly as a sketch? The face stays surprisingly consistent. When creating this cut for SCP:GALLIONIC's trailer we started out with a 3D layout, where the general movement and camera placements are decided. Then animation and Backgrounds are worked on in tandem. Creating the background was fairly straightforward (just define the structure, textures and lighting) [done by Brando Leon Rustici - (So So Animations) ] Animation however, was definitely a bit trickier, but Jag アニメーター really knocked it out of the park: especially with such complicated designs and number of individual objects, it's always good (as he's done) to break it down first to just "blobs", to get the movement down and after that actually drawing the characters properly. Mikey Nowack, other than being being responsible for SCP-1762's design, also took care of the colour script for this cut, and together with Wing (in charge of compositing) brought the final scene to life! This one was made with Seedance 2.0 Fast via Dreamina. This is pure Omni-Reference. The only character sheet I used was for these girls, Sari and Ploy. The dude with sarung here and the location were 100% prompted. I didn’t use a character sheet or reference for either of them. Even in Fast mode, Seedance 2.0 is bloody good and it still nails the hyper-vernacular vibe that I always aim for in my work. Seedance 2.0 is both exciting and scary for me 😆 It’s exciting because it is undoubtedly the best model currently available on the market. Trust me, you’ve seen the videos I’ve made so far right? The performance of the model It’s simply the best, period. It has helped me tremendously in creating a shit ton of stories about the region where I live, Southeast Asia. It has been the most exciting thing ever. The scary part is whenever a platform or company comes to me saying, “Hey, we have this new video model. Blah blah blah. We’ll let you know more soon.” It scares the shit out of me because the big question is whether it will be better than Seedance 2.0??? 😆😆 If not, I don’t even want to bother using it. I’ve come this far and achieved this level of quality with Seedance 2.0. That’s why I skipped Happy Horse, which I already tested. It’s also why I’m not bothering with Wan or anything else for now. Their current models are still far inferior to what we already get with Seedance 2.0. I don’t want to downgrade the visual quality. This is also why I need to be really honest. There are certain platforms that host their own in-house models and i'm still part of their CPP. However, because those models are still far behind the quality of Seedance 2.0, I haven’t used them that much. Seedance 2.0 has simply become the benchmark for me. The type of output I’m looking for is also extremely specific, so I can immediately feel it when a model cannot deliver what I need. Seedance 2.0 is definitely not cheap, but it gives me so much creative satisfaction and allows me to make whatever I want. I even have a team that low-key makes softcore erotic videos in the style of Vivamax 😆 I think I’ve trimmed down so many things in my AI workflow because my main goal is to focus on the content itself. If Seedance 2.0 Mini is released soon, I’m dead curious to test it. I think I want to create more stories that revolve around drama rather than highly technical cinematic shots. Seedance 2.0 Fast has been incredibly helpful, but I’m definitely curious to check out the Mini version. But the truth is that I’m completely tool-agnostic. I don’t care which company makes the model. I only care about the quality. You might remember when I praised Grok Imagine Video so damn hard because it was genuinely amazing back then. Then the quality kept getting worse and worse, so I stopped using it. But if it gets better again, I’ll definitely want to use it again. At the end of the day, quality is the only thing that matters.
