I consider myself lucky I can't relate to this. My parents didn't care I was into Anime and manga growing up and even encouraged me to go out and buy it when I had a chance

I grew up in a religious family that burned my manga / comics and threw away my games and DVDs in the name of protecting "my faith." Today I’m married and I still do the same thing, and I tell my parents that I’ve never changed. They still can can’t accept that.

I can relate to her, I have interests in games especially for Resident Evil and my dad hates that I’m into those things but I actually love it

I don't hate my parents, but it bothers me that they think that about manga/anime, as if it were something for children. Maturing means knowing how to live your life, not ceasing to watch what you like. I can watch anime and live better than others living in debts. 😤👌
