What's discusting about Dr. Fauci and this speech is that he knew exactly what was already planned, developed and going to happen in the very near future and even tells the audience that there will be a "surprise outbreak" that the coming administration will have to deal with. Now, the man responsible for the deaths of millions of people is afraid of the same deathly outcome that everyone's family and friends suffered. If he's not guilty of anything, why would he be worried in the first place? That alone should tell you everything you need to know. You reap what you sow.

Beijing's response to U.S. tech giants stoking AI panic is essentially this: AI does not belong to Silicon Valley. It does not belong to America. It belongs to humanity. Fear-mongering will not stop the direction of civilization. Humans and AI will build the future together. The AI that survives the future will not be the one most tightly weaponized for geopolitical competition. It will be the one capable of living with humanity — across nations, cultures and civilizations. Intelligence should not become another empire.

Absolutely spot on from Peter Meijer: “I’m really trying to plumb the depths of my profound indifference for Jimmy Kimmel’s career here. But to your point on the echo chambers, that’s very real. And this was what got Jimmy Kimmel in this problem in the first place. He was reiterating a lie, and it is a lie that the assassin of Charlie Kirk was motivated by right of center beliefs. One in three Democrats believe that. But by saying it was anyone other than what it was. And again, if that was occurring in a vacuum, if you didn’t have Democratic elected officials repeating that same lie, if you didn’t have one in three Democrats believing that same lie, I do not think this would have that salience. And that is the problem with the echo chambers is all of a sudden you find anything to blame? Everybody outside of your network, right?
