Semi is here Today, we're launching high volume production

This is our first factory built for Semi. – 50,000 units/year – Every variant built on the same production line (Standard, Long Range, European spec) – 1.8M sq ft

Semi Factory introduces many firsts: – First powder coated Class 8 truck – Highest weight-capacity EMS conveyance in vehicle manufacturing, with 39 frames-in-white fully assembled – One of our most automated battery lines to date! Most truck plants just assemble – we make the stampings, batteries, drive axles, HV distribution, cooling modules & seats in house. Raw material in, trucks out Vertical integration is the only real way to bring cost down

Over the last 4 years, we redesigned Semi for true volume It's more efficient, more manufacturable & more reliable Moving from 2170 to our in-house 4680 cells means less battery mass & fewer kWh with no compromise on range, enabling lower cost

A much better drivetrain: – Steel-caged rotor instead of carbon fiber: cheaper, more reliable, more efficient – Bar-wound stator shared with @Cybertruck: proven design that we build at volume already, lowering cost This enables improved operational range across environmental conditions, terrain & payload

The best part is no part – Semi is the first heavy-duty truck with electric steering, eliminating hydraulic compressors & fluids (which leak & require service) It's lighter, quieter, more precise & redundant by design This also lays the groundwork for future autonomy

Megamanifold is our next gen heat pump that runs cabin HVAC & all powertrain heating & cooling at once. Unlike diesel trucks where heat generated by the engine is lost, Semi can draw excess heat from the powertrain to keep the driver comfortable

This thermal system is also shared with Cybercab – one thermal system for both our most efficient vehicle & our biggest vehicle

Semi drives like a Tesla Acoustic glass for a quiet cabin, a roll-down window & a cabin you can stand up in, with visibility you don't get in a diesel To make drivers' jobs easier, we've automated parts of the pre-trip inspection & can provide electronic logs when those checks were completed

Semi requires almost no maintenance For 2026, our year-to-date uptime was >98%

On a Megacharger, you can regain up to 60% of range back in 30 minutes Megachargers are deployed along major freight routes

The economic case for Semi is clear

Deliveries start now – thank you to our customers! We'll be our own customer, too: you'll see Semis hauling Tesla freight
