If you know English, you are all set. I recorded a quick video to show you how I connect to a sample Airbnb database and run different queries: • How many listings? • How many listings in the US? • What's the list of countries in these listings? It takes 10 seconds to configure Claude, Cursor, WindSurf, or any other AI assistant to connect to MongoDB's MCP Server. Quick demo of Zero’s new background queries. Zero’s sync is query-based. Rather than specifying what data you want using rules or some other separate system, you just use queries. Right inside the client app, you do a query using a full sql-style language. You get filters, subqueries , limits, etc. Zero syncs the data backing these queries to the client. It’s important to realize Zero isn’t really a cache. It’s a replica. It’s eagerly replicating a precise snapshot of a slice of your database - the slice covered by the queries you have open. So there is never stale data in Zero. When you close a query we delete the rows uniquely returned by that query because we can no longer keep them up to date. Of course that kind of sucks for the common case of doing a query, navigating, then pressing “back”. Ideally we want that back nav to be fast. To address this Zero 0.17 adds background queries. You can add a ttl to a query and it will keep running and syncing in the background. This is much different than normal caching because this data stays up to date. If you make the same query again, the results will be *instantly* available *and already up to date with server*. If you make a different query the data from the background query is used client-side to answer the new query instantly if possible. This all happens completely automatically. Just by adding the ttl flag.

I think this is where the market is headed I was bored today so I texted Rork to make me a Snake game. 2 minutes later I'm playing snake on my phone. I also did this yesterday with a to-do list app. In a way Rork is like a super app That can make apps on your phone. And it's not hard for consumers To utilize, This game took 1 prompt. most simple apps that can be one shotted with 1 prompt are most likely done for once this hits the consumer market. Eventually all the slop apps will be filtered out. And the apps that will survive are the ones that have community, gamification and identity that can't be replicated So Start building Genuine banger apps.

If your MCP server has dozens of tools, it’s probably built wrong. You need tools that are specific and clear for each use case—but you also can’t have too many. This creates an almost impossible tradeoff that most companies don’t know how to solve. That’s why I interviewed my friend Alex Rattray (Alex Rattray), the founder and CEO of Stainless. Stainless builds APIs, SDKs, and MCP servers for companies like OpenAI and Anthropic. Alex has spent years mastering how to make software talk to software, and he came on the show to share what he knows. I had him on Every 📧’s AI & I to talk about MCP and the future of the AI-native internet. We get into: • Design MCP servers to be lean and precise. Alex’s best practices for building reliable MCP servers start with keeping the toolset small, giving each tool a precise name and description, and minimizing the inputs and outputs the model has to handle. At Stainless, they also often add a JSON filter on top to strip out unnecessary data. • Make complex APIs manageable with dynamic mode. To solve the problem of how an AI figures out which tool to use in larger APIs, Stainless switches to “dynamic mode,” where the model gets only three tools: List the endpoints, pick one and learn about it, and then execute it. • MCP servers as business copilots. Alex built a shared company brain at Stainless by keeping Claude Code running on his system and asking it to save useful inputs—like customer feedback and SQL queries—into GitHub. While building SEV0, I ran into moments where natural language prompting just wasn't enough - too vague, too indirect. So I started using a method that bridges that gap. I call it Bridged Prompting - a technique where you temporarily step out of the prompt-response loop to manipulate something directly using an AI-generated UI, then step back in. Think of it like GenUI, but more user-driven and transient. AI generates a UI on-the-fly, tailored to your prompt, and lets you manipulate the artifact directly before resuming the conversation. Sure, you could build a full tool, switch tabs, wire it up and round-trip your data. But with Bridged Prompting, the AI just spins up a temporary interface right in the flow. In the video below, I used it to construct the hallway system to closely match the layout of the severed floor. This is something I needed to do for this one project, this one time - I didn't need to make a whole separate app. Bridged Prompting lets you: - Make precise edits visually or structurally - "Hit save" to persist changes to local storage or a backend - Return to your natural language prompt

I think it's a very good encryption. We're testing it thoroughly. If you look at something like WhatsApp or really any of the other apps, they've got hooks in there for advertising. WhatsApp knows enough about what you're texting to know what ads to show you. That's a massive security vulnerability. 𝕏 Chat has no hooks for advertising. I'm not saying it's perfect, but our goal with 𝕏 Chat is to replace what used to be the Twitter DM stack with a fully encrypted system where you can text, send files, do audio, video calls. I call it the least insecure of any messaging system.
