The days that followed made it clear that while some women had the choices of either supporting her or remaining silent, they chose the latter & proceeded to attempt to publicly humiliate her across multiple news outlets. This is the sad the reality for a lot of women who speak up and we must commend senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for her courage to insist on justice and fairness.

I am deeply ashamed that Senator Ireti would say all these “Silence is golden, as women we stay silent and these things will blow over” How can the Senator on WOMEN AFFAIRS dismiss allegations of sexual harassment as “trival matters” or “things that will blow over.” Senator Ireti should be ashamed of herself. Saying Senator Natasha “is the most privileged from all of us” I don’t even understand, so that means she should not speak up when she is being bullied by Senate President Akpabio or remain quiet when she is being harassed by him. I am beyond ashamed of Senator Ireti. This should not be coming from you ma. NO. This time, the conflict is between her and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Senator Titus Zam, over her alleged exclusion from the Senate Committee.
