In the meantime this is happening: Profits at the “Big 3” auto companies—Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis— skyrocketed 92% from 2013 to 2022, totaling $250 billion. Forecasts for 2023 expect more than $32 billion in additional profits. While wages and benefits stagnated, CEO salaries and compensation are up. ????

@chrislhayes Can someone remind senator Scott how many total days senators actually work 👀 And how much they get paid?

This is where @SenatorTimScott disconnects from the American worker. Yes, he might have grown up in working-class poverty. With his vast donor base, he has forgotten where he came from. He has received $270k from the automotive industry in the form of donations (bribes). If his mother was working the lines along @UAW, I would love to see him tell his mother. "No Mom, you don't deserve to work a 4-day work week with more pay. You need to work more with less pay."

He is completely putting out misinformation . The 4 day week wasn’t less hours it was 10 hour work days . The auto workers Union in 2009 gave back cost of living wages , pensions and salaries to keep the industry in America .With a combination of billions in profits and 3 CEOs making a total 90 million dollars per year 400 times more than workers is it really to much for the UAW to want to share in the profits they created by this unselfish give back .Over the last 40 years in this country the average person is still suppose to live with a minimum wage at of 7.25 . The rich hoard the profits on the backs of these hard working people . Is this ok , this is what the working people are worth this isn’t a political issue it is one of survival of the working class people . The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. This rate applies to covered nonexempt workers. The minimum wage for employees who receive tips is $2.13 per hour. The amount of tips plus the $2.13 must reach at least $7.25 per hour.Jun 16, 2023

You first, Senator. Show up at your job more than 150 days a year. Bring your mythical girlfriend. We’d all love to meet her.

How DARE a union negotiate for the best interests of its members!

A man surrounded by interns working a job with no set hours

Refreshing his short and selective memory. 👇🏻

@chrislhayes Senators make $174k to work about 160 days a year
