NEWS: Elon Musk AMPLIFIES calls to REPLACE Senate Majority Leader John Thune — as Thune DRAGS his feet on bringing the critical SAVE America Act to a vote despite massive public support for voter ID and proof of citizenship in order to vote in our elections. An NBC News reporter asked Thune yesterday if he felt pressure to pass the SAVE America Act, and he responded, “A lot of that is, it's in that kind of, you know, paid influencer ecosystem.” ABC News: “‘Yeah, that's not going to happen,’ Thune said when asked by ABC News about whether Senate rules requiring 60 votes to advance most legislative matters could be altered in light of Trump's new pressure campaign to pass the SAVE America Act, which would change voter ID requirements ahead of November's midterm elections.” Thune must GO!

During the U.S. Senate's confirmation of John Ratcliffe CIA Director John Ratcliffe for CIA Director on January 22nd, 2025, GOP Senate Majority Leader John Thune Leader John Thune remarked on the Senate floor, "Do we want to vote on these nominees Tuesday, or wait until Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?" Thune seems to be done pretending like he’s Mr. Tough Guy Majority leader with his bloviation on the Senate floor. Remember when he said he won’t let any Senators take the weekends off until all of President Trump’s nominees were confirmed? The Senate has now adjourned for two weeks, with 221 Trump nominees still awaiting consideration by the Senate. Only 53 of President Trump’s nominees have been confirmed since inauguration. John Thune has been a massive let down. Just more lies from the Republican Party. We will lose the midterms in 2026 if the GOP continues to be this lazy.

🚨 Senate Majority Leader John Thune on the SAVE Act: "The Issue Here Is the Democrats." When LindellTV's Alison Steinberg asked Leader John Thune whether he would support keeping the Senate in session through weekends and recesses to advance the SAVE Act, Thune said he would be willing to consider it if there were a realistic path to passage. "If I thought there was a path to getting a positive outcome, I'd want to do just about anything." Thune said the legislation has already received multiple votes, but noted that no Senate Democrats have supported either the full bill or its individual provisions. "The issue here is the Democrats... We ought to be going after them for opposing something that's popular across this country."

Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA) says he was "pleasantly surprised" by the pushback by some congressional Republicans on the Department of Justice's probe into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, telling CBS News' Caitlin Huey-Burns there is "bipartisan support for the independence of the Fed" in Congress. "I know in the Senate there's an effort to hold up additional nominees to the Federal Reserve that President Trump wants and needs. I think we have to keep up that pressure," he adds.
