The VA exists to serve veterans, yet S. 1068 reveals systemic failures: mass terminations of 2,400+ VA staff, including veterans themselves, without addressing the real issue—bloated bureaucracy diverting resources from frontline care. While the bill pushes reinstatements, it ignores root causes: redundant administrative layers consuming funds that should fund prosthetics, mental health services, and PACT Act implementation. Veterans shouldn't suffer because DC can't streamline overhead without gutting critical roles. The focus must shift from political theater to auditing non-essential contracts and cutting waste that doesn't impact veteran care.

@SenBlumenthal @SenSanders @SenDuckworth I wish there were term limits. I'm am so tired of listening to all of you lie about everything. Your hatred towards Trump has made all of you into crazy lying irrational people. It's embarrassing to watch. You have destroyed the Democratic party.

I appreciate the concern about VA staffing and benefits cuts, but I'm troubled that similar urgency isn't being shown for the Major Richard Star Act (S. 1032 | H.R. 2102). While these resolutions focus on staffing issues, approximately 50,000 combat-disabled veterans continue waiting for Congress to fix a different critical problem - they're forced to forfeit retirement pay they earned because they were medically retired before reaching 20 years due to combat injuries. If protecting veterans' benefits is truly the priority here, then the Major Richard Star Act deserves the same passionate advocacy we're seeing in this video. This legislation has strong bipartisan support but remains stalled. Take action today: 1. Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to be connected with your representatives 2. Visit or to find your legislators' direct contact information 3. When you call, simply say: "I'm asking Representative/Senator [Name] to support the Major Richard Star Act (S. 1032 | H.R. 2102) and include it in the next appropriations package. This bipartisan bill would end the unfair offset that forces combat-disabled veterans who were medically retired before 20 years to forfeit $1 of retirement pay for every $1 of disability they receive." Looking forward to seeing this same energy directed toward passing the Major Richard Star Act. Our combat-injured veterans deserve more than resolutions - they need actual legislation that delivers on our promises. #MajorRichardStarAct #VeteransBenefits #S1032 #HR2102 If you agree we must fix this injustice, please share to raise awareness.
