Senator Ron Johnson on Republicans cutting spending: "This is our one opportunity. And right now we're blowing it." Ron Johnson's response to the House passing the Big, Beautiful Bill: "I've heard people rationalize this. And I mean, important people rationalize, you know, 'Just go along with this. This is...

Senator Johnson’s right—symbolic cuts are a scam. Temporary reductions let D.C. reinstate bloated programs later. Real reform? Slash entire agencies, eliminate redundant bureaucracy, and lock in permanent spending rollbacks. The GOP’s “cuts” are performative theater—like trimming a weed instead of pulling it by the roots. Until Congress guts Medicaid fraud, overpaid pensions, and foreign aid slush funds, they’re just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Taxpayers see through the act: either deliver structural change or get out of the way.

@RonJohnsonWI 💯. I want to primary every Republican who doesn’t understand this. We could have a golden age if we can do what’s right

@RonJohnsonWI I 100% agree with this. If the Senate doesn't act, there is no real reason to take Republicans financial complaints seriously.

@RonJohnsonWI We are blowing it, not codifying the DOGE cuts is asinine on its face. Do better @GOP

@RonJohnsonWI D.C. has no real appetite for austerity because no one’s career depends on balance sheets. This is why Bitcoin matters. This is why real-world asset tokenization matters. Because at some point, capital is going to stop trusting the currency and legacy system altogether.

@RonJohnsonWI Great interview that exposes the truth about cuts. The incentives are not aligned for congress to cut spending. Everyone knows someone who eats off the government. When that someone gets laid off, it’s a crisis for them. We are a middle-aged fat person being told to get healthy

@RonJohnsonWI He’s right. We elected the coalition that was doge to cut government dramatically, update the tech systems for more transparency and to eliminate fraud and waste and no wars. None of that is happening now.

Important: Who is Opposing the UAPDA? "It's staff! And it's like, who elected you? You were not elected!" ~Burlison "I cannot believe that I am sponsoring the language that Senator Schumer also is sponsoring." ~Burlison ~ Burlison: "We're trying to get UAP Disclosure Acts put on the National Defense Authorization Act. We are facing difficulties, and I mean, it's so frustrating, because it's not members [of Congress]. I don't, at least, if it is members, they're not coming to me and saying, 'Hey, I'm not allowing your amendment.' "It's staff! And it's like, who elected you? You were not elected!' I mean, for you to be able to deny an elected official whose...my job is to answer to the people, and you're gonna deny me the ability to get this amendment, at least even offered, is unacceptable. "And so, right now we're trying to get that made in order, so that when it comes to the floor, at least we get an opportunity to have a vote on the UAP Disclosure Act! And then you'll know who supports it and who doesn't. "But I've gotta get the Intelligence Committee to approve that. And, so any help, André Carson, would be greatly appreciated. If you could lean on our chairman and others, that would be fantastic, but we've gotta get it made in order. And if we get out of the House, I think that we're halfway there. "And then we'll...I think we've got allies in the Senate, whether it'. And I cannot believe that I am sponsoring the language that Senator Schumer also is sponsoring (laughter and applause). But what's right is right, and truth is truth. And we're all Americans, and that's why this is such a common-sense thing. And the only thing that's gonna stop it is these staffers who are killing things behind the scenes in the cover of darkness. And so, that's what we're facing right now, so your help getting vocal on this is probably the only way we're going to get it done."

Asked Skylar Diggins about Seattle’s mentality/inability to close out games ahead of the playoffs: “I promise you, I swear I'm not even being facetious. If we had these answers to these questions, you know what I'm saying? This game is tough. It's hard to win in this league. It's hard to win in this league. And obviously, yes, we're disappointed with where we are, that we're in this predicament. But Nneka has said it in the past too. It's not going to be a woe is me. Games are still going to be played. You know, we still have to come out and compete. And most importantly, you know, we have to be professional. And you know, I lacked professionalism in that last press conference too. I want to apologize to the room. Apologize to Nneka. She always comes out here, handles herself exceptionally, and I handle myself poor. And you know, I got to be a better leader when it's hard and it's hard to be a leader. But I owe you that apology in front of everybody in the room. So I just wanted to say that before we left. But yeah, obviously it's tough. We're pissed. Yeah, that's what you guys want to hear? You want to see it. This is what it is when you're passionate. We do everything passionately, and that's what it is. We don't want to fucking be in this predicament. But here we are. So we're going to continue to show up and be pros every day, be leaders by example, how we come in and prepare and come out and get ready to compete, and that's all we can do. And if we don't do that, then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.” @OffTheRecordW | #WNBA
