More, the net result of her work so far has been to help destroy our energy grid and just about everything else relating to our ability to make and do things in Australia. Because cheap and reliable energy is central to everything. Everything. Whether it is coal, gas or liquid fuels, Australia needs these things to provide a first world living standard for the people. She has been an instrumental part of the war on our living standards thus far. All the while they threw our prosperity in the air, put on a blindfold and hoped to catch it in a windmill shaped glove. Now she is in charge of Albanese’s response to our critical, non-critical supply of petrochemicals that are at crisis levels, but we are not in a crisis. If you believe any of what they say… She is not an expert in logistics, or oil supply, petrochemicals or any other area that might qualify her to ensure we have enough fuel to drive critical infrastructure. Not to mention little things like food reaching the supermarket shelves. She is not the right person for the job. She probably thinks we could use this crisis as an opportunity to further destroy lives and livelihoods as they relentlessly pursue the hopeless goal of changing global temperatures. I am sure she will see it that way. She probably thinks we can all work from home and stop eating meat for the good of the planet. I have no doubt Albanese thinks she will do a great job of whatever it is he thinks he is achieving at our expense. I have no doubt we will be worse off for her best efforts. We have good cause to be very cynical of the current leadership. They won’t even admit there are problems - not in any of the areas where there are many problems - so they won’t be able to properly solve them. We have every right to be worried, and we have little cause to respect them or their leadership at this critical time in our nation’s history. I am afraid that if we don’t vote all of these absolute lightweights out of office at the next election, there won’t be a Nation left. I have no doubt there are problems in the opposition and other camps, but they could not be worse than the problems we have in government. I just want Australia back.

The stock market surged today in response to President Donald Trump’s decision to pause tariffs on all nations except China for the next 90 days. Many are saying that Trump has abandoned his nationalist protectionist agenda. But the Trump administration left the flat 10% global tariff in place, raised tariffs on Chinese imports to 125%, kept 25% tariffs on steel, aluminum, and autos from Canada and Mexico, and is moving forward with tariffs on copper, lumber, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals. Moreover, there remains significant uncertainty about future trade relations between the US and other nations, which may not end in 90 days. As such, we remain in the messy transition to a new global economic and security order, and there will thus likely continue to be a considerable amount of volatility and uncertainty in the months and perhaps years ahead. Critics of Trump’s tariffs say that his administration crashed the stock market and then reversed course, showing he didn’t know what he was doing. They say that Trump and his team are just making it up as they go along. And to some extent, that is true. But all of life is, to some extent, making things up as we go along. And Trump’s Chair of his Council of Economic Advisors, Stephen Miran, made clear last November, in a 41-page white paper, that one of the main goals of Trump’s tariffs was to gain leverage going into negotiations. And that appears to be precisely what they have done. What is being negotiated is not just a new global trading system but also a new security relationship between the US and its allies in Europe and Japan. The arrangement put in place after World War II where the United States subsidizes the security of its allies in Europe and Asia, and lets them impose higher tariffs on US manufacturers than we impose on their manufacturers, is coming to an end, because it has undermined America’s national security, hurt America’s working class, and undermined the social solidarity required for all nations, particularly the world’s most important superpower, to exist. The current system undermines America’s national security because we are dependent upon the nation, China, against which we are most likely to go to war. America is dependent upon China for our drones and dependent upon Taiwan, which China could invade at any time, for our microchips. Writes Miran, “the paradox of being a reserve currency is that it leads to permanent twin deficits which in turn lead over time to an unsustainable accumulation of public and foreign debt that eventually undermines the safety and reserve currency status of such a large debtor economy.” Trump’s team is, according to Miran, Trump, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, as well as the people Public has interviewed over the last week, seeking a new global security and economic arrangement. Under the new arrangement, the US will, first and foremost, significantly re-industrialize. The priority will be to re-industrialize those areas essential to national security. This could take many forms. Existing manufacturers may expand production, and foreign investors and manufacturers may create factories in the US like Japanese automakers did in the South after President Ronald Reagan imposed import quotas. A clear and present danger to our national security and sovereignty. Brought no less by people we gave our trust to protect our nation, but instead conspired and co-opted. POGO was legitimised and legalised under the previous Duterte Administration. Both Rodrigo Duterte and Harry Roque defended POGO despite the warnings of Chinese President Xi JinPing and knowing the implications on our country on national security, crime, and our Filipino values. In a clear reflection of encroachment by the former President on the powers of Congress, he created EO 13. He later declared: “ POGO is clean”. This POGO facilities in Bamban, Tarlac was owned by Whirlwind Corporation, which was found to be engaged in illegal activities. When the facility was posthaste raided by the authorities, they found incriminating evidences linking former Duterte Administration Spokesperson Harry Roque as its Legal Representative. Harry Roque would soon vehemently deny that he is linked to Whirlwind Corporation. This despite a legal document stating that he is the Legal Representative. The days of calling it an “alleged recording” are over. Aidan recorded Karen without her consent. Then he played that recording for multiple people with one purpose- to turn them against her. Everything I’m saying below is based on what Aidan himself told me, repeatedly, long before any of this went public. And to make it even clearer, I’m including a clip in the comments of Aidan admitting directly to me that: He did record Karen, He lied about Nurse Kim not hearing it, He said it was “not a big deal,” and He admitted he has zero proof that I shared anything, because I didn’t. He’s publicly accusing me of something he knows he can’t prove because it never happened. Who he shared the recording with These names aren’t guesses or assumptions. They came straight from Aidan. -Nurse Kim -Will -Jimmy (Auntie Deb) -Jess Machado -Others I’m not naming because they haven’t lied publicly or attacked me. Will heard it. Kim heard it. Jimmy heard it. Jess publicly admitted she heard it. Aidan told each of us at different times. The initial list of 4 has since grown exponentially because he forgot who he shared it with. Aug 30: The very next day, someone tells Karen that she was recorded and that Will and others have heard it. Karen contacts Will and he denies hearing it. Karen accuses Aidan directly of recording her and express what a betrayal it is. Sept 1: Aidan and I speak for the first time in over a month since our breakup. He tells me Karen is “accusing him of recording her.” I asked, “Well… did you?” He said yes, and followed it with, “But I think she’s bluffing because she probably doesn’t have a recording.” I told him that’s a very specific accusation to make out of nowhere, she’s never accused you of recording her before, someone clearly told her. He repeated the same four names he claimed heard it. He was sure no one would dare betray him by doing the right thing and being honest with Karen. (Again, that list has grown since, because he lies, shares, forgets, and backtracks.) The Following week Karen repeatedly tells him she knows he recorded her. Aidan repeatedly lies and denies it. September 8 I hear the recording myself for the first time, during lunch with him. I don't ask to hear the recording, he shoves his phone in my face to listen. The recording is not what he described, where he painted Karen as an evil c*nt, just as he's done to his followers. Karen is rightfully angry and fed up with Aidan's antics. By this point, Karen already had the recording. Whoever told Karen was not me, because I didn’t even know the recording existed yet. Multiple people lied to her. She knows who they are. Someone eventually came clean. It wasn’t me. Karen never wanted Aidan to be criminally charged for this or “send him to jail” as he’s spun his narrative. Neither did I. Sixteen years ago, I went to DC to tell Congress, (both Houses), that the skilled trades were in desperate need of reinvigorating, and that America’s skills gap was on the road to becoming a national emergency. I had launched mikeroweWORKS two years earlier and wanted to make sure our elected officials knew that I was willing to work with the Obama administration – or any administration, for that matter - to help train the next generation of skilled workers. Toward that end, I shared my belief that America needed a robust campaign to encourage a new generation of kids to explore careers in the skilled trades, and that the government had an important role to play in that effort. My testimony was met with a level of enthusiasm that I found encouraging. Representatives on both sides of the aisle reached out to thank me for coming. They all acknowledged the problem, agreed with my solution, and invited me to collaborate, brainstorm, and join forces to help them close America's skills gap. Then, after a few dozen seminars, symposiums, colloquiums, round tables, factory tours, ribbon cuttings, and various other photo ops, I eventually realized that most of the elected officials who had reached out were less interested in closing the skills gap and more interested in getting reelected. Which is why I didn’t return the calls of this week’s guest when he reached out last year to see if I might consider working with the Pentagon to make the skilled trades cool again. In my defense, Michael Cadenazzi had not yet been confirmed when he reached out. He'd only been nominated to serve as the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy, but when the Senate finally did confirm him, he reached out again and asked if we could meet in DC. Then, when I googled him to see what he actually did, I went to the Pentagon to say hello. Today, Mike Cadenazzi is the principal advisor to the Under Secretary of War. His primary job is to develop and maintain the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to ensure a secure supply of materials critical to our national security. He's also in charge of the current workforce within the military industrial base and determined to do something about the appalling shortage of skilled workers we now face. Which is why he called me in the first place, and why we’ve been talking seriously for several months about the skilled trades campaign I proposed sixteen years ago. Obviously, I don’t have a crystal ball, and don’t yet know exactly what will come of our meetings. But I'm hopeful. In the last sixteen years, few people in the federal government have impressed me to this degree. Mike spent ten years as an active-duty U.S. Navy cryptologic warfare officer before entering the private sector, where he launched several successful companies in the aerospace & defense industries. In other words, he walked away from a pretty great career to tackle this enormous problem. He's the opposite of a bureaucrat, and I’m flattered that he thinks mikeroweWORKS might be a worthy partner.
