September 19, 2003: 40-years-old Randy Johnson goes yard.

I miss pitchers batting 9th

Didn't know he bats right handed

Of course Randy Johnson got his first career homer at 40, batting in a game against my Milwaukee @Brewers. I almost forgot this happened. Almost. Here's to another 20+ yrs til I forget again and am reminded on the 40th anniversary 😂

Didn’t even smile

at 40 years old he shouldn't even be able to walk to the plate without a walker 😮

Holy shit. They’re not at home for this highlight

@MLB the DH was a mistake

🔥

DH and the Buster Posey rule, took a lot of fun out of Baseball for me.

Haha nice little league fastball

that was a 4 seamer? Good lord, i thought that was a changeup

Watching him literally throw his bat at a ball indifferently, makes me wonder how he ever made contact, let a lone get a hit, much less a HR

Yep and baseball stripped these moments away from us, because reasons.
