Speaking alongside Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Babiš stated: • “I do not understand at all why Serbia is not in Schengen.” • Some current Schengen countries protect their borders less effectively than non-members. • The EU’s approach to Western Balkan enlargement has become an “endless story” lasting decades. • Serbia donated 100,000 COVID vaccines to Czechia in 2021 — when the EU itself failed to help. • He strongly supports EXPO 2027 in Belgrade as a major global event. • Serbia acts pragmatically with partners such as China and the UAE — and the EU should respond by actively integrating Serbia instead of endlessly delaying. Vučić highlighted the concrete results of the partnership: bilateral trade has grown from €430 million to €2.4 billion in 12 years, with Serbian exports to Czechia rising tenfold.
