2027: “If I win the presidential election, I will restore fuel subsidy” — ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to restore Nigeria’s petrol subsidy if elected president in the 2027 presidential election. Atiku made the declaration during a Facebook Live session while addressing questions about the removal of the subsidy and its impact on Nigerians. He said he did not initially oppose the policy but has since changed his position, questioning how the savings from the subsidy removal have been utilised. “I initially did not oppose the removal of the fuel subsidy. But now that it has been removed, where is the money? Where has the subsidy money gone? Has it been used to improve healthcare, education or security? “If I win the presidential election, I will restore the subsidy. And anyone who stole Nigeria’s subsidy funds must return the money.” President Bola Tinubu announced the removal of the petrol subsidy during his inauguration on May 29, 2023. The decision triggered a sharp increase in fuel prices, followed by higher transportation, food and other living costs. Worker’s minimum wage is N30k per month, Bola Ahmed Tinubu just stumbled a few times at his inauguration and the only thing he could say was “Fuel Subsidy” is gone! He didn’t say next…Minimum Wage is now N250k! And now those who claimed this is good for Nigeria are stranded at home unable to pay their way to “work.# Those who said an increase in minimum wage would lead to inflation are not saying a 300% increase in fuel price will kill everyone, even the middle class (if there exist any). If Tinubu never became President, many Nigerians would have gone to their graves thinking Tinubu is a genius. From his days as a mediocre Governor of Lagos State, he has used the media to package himself as a star performer. Nearly Two years after Tinubu took over from his party man who is equally a failure, Tinubu has caused more problems for Nigerians with his clueless and incompetent reforms. Who starts reforms without assessing what is on ground? Who carries out reforms without building structures to support the reforms?? Buhari was a bad President, Tinubu is a Terrible President and APC is a curse to Nigeria!

How is Governor Alex Otti doing this? Like this man is literally touching every sector in the state. He's building schools, he's building hospitals, constructing an airport, stadium, constructing more roads, paying workers salary and pension of retirees, recruited alot of personnel in the health, education and other sectors. Even having plans of constructing a seaport in the state. Attracting investment and investors. In all of these, Abia state still ranks as one of the safest states in the country I want to ask a sincere question that requires an honest answer. Is Alex Otti not a Nigerian politician? Is other states and their governors not getting allocation like he's getting? Then Tinubu at the federal level, why hasn't he achieved a single thing as President?

They sent Governors Hope Uzodinma and Peter Mbah, but it didn’t work. They sent Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Deputy HoR Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, to persuade him, followed by a threat of removing him. Those failed too. Now, it’s Tinubu’s Chief of Staff who was sent from Aso Rock to Umuahia, for another attempt. And I ask, Tinubu already has the support of the four other South East governors. Our champion of education and good governance falsely claimed that Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah took President Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu to commission an uncompleted school building at GTC Enugu. He posted the picture of a building still at decking level, saying it was the one commissioned by the president! And despite being called out over the blatant lie, he stood his ground, refusing to take down the post let alone apologize. Incorrigible lots! They claim to be holding government to account, but disdain being held accountable themselves. We are in real trouble!

They spent billions of Naira on the National CONFAB without results. Someone who did virtually nothing even wanted a 3rd term. Tinubu came in and started restructuring without spending a dime. He is using both governance and political experience, and infants already know that restructuring is going on in Nigeria. He is restructuring the country without noise When you are brainy, you are brainy. Thank you president Bola Hammed Tinubu for renewing the hope of Nigerians.
