My only thought is that Wahington was supposed to chip the edge rusher and release into the open flat on the right. Freiermuth was already coming over (behind the line) to pick up that blocker. The receivers were released on routes to left to clear out the right side of the field. Not sure if Dowdle was supposed to stay in and block (or at least chip) that backside where Freiermuth had left as well. Give it a rewind and check those 3 out. 🤷‍♂️

According to JJ Watt, he was supposed to throw deep across the field to Metcalf. We will never know since the blitzer was never picked up.
