Seth MacFarlane hosting the Oscars was a rough mixed bag, but hands down this joke right here is the best I’ve seen from this ceremony in a decade. This is the kind of humour we need more of at the Oscars. Deep cut references to all-time classics. This is... show more

The big problem with the Oscars these days is they focus on STARS when most of the people who watch the Oscars are big time movie heads. Cater to them! Thats how you’ll get more viewers. As the Oscars stand now, they appeal to no one, because they barely acknowledge film’s past.

He’s such an oddball because by all accounts he should be annoying but he’s so endearing

i recently saw something that was along the lines of Seth MacFarlane had the taste and knowledge of a 70 year gay hoarder.

I think if MacFarlane had gone all in on his old Hollywood, Sinatra, Star Trek fan boy side it would have been all gravy but his IS the Family Guy guy so the more crass bit were probably what the producers wanted and expected. I’m sure he liked them too.

I believe if MacFarlane had fully embraced his love for old Hollywood, Sinatra, and Star Trek, it would have been a hit. However, since he’s known as the Family Guy creator, the producers likely pushed for more crude humor, which was probably in line with his tastes as well.

This was fine but the “we saw your boobs” song was so bad man

I have been fascinated by Seth Macfarlane's career over the past two decades. Whether you love him or not (and I love him) seeing him navigate between raunchy adult comedies, working alongside directors like Martin Scorsese and David Lynch and just making official fanfic

Seth nailed it. Such an intelligent humor elevates the Oscars to new heights. Well done! 💯

I think he do a better job hosting it now, his humour as kinda toned down to be less crass with his recent out put

This is the only joke from the Oscars that not only I can recall, but fondly remember. It’s one of those “if you don’t get the reference why are you here” kind of bits.
