I occasionally ponder how events like the Salem witch trials could have transpired in history, only to be jolted back to the present by occurrences that vividly illustrate the same mechanisms behind such insanity.

If a government wants to apply chemicals to a population, they wouldn't do it from miles of altitude. See: crop dusting.

What will these dopes when they pass their chemtrail bans and the contrails are still there? Will they try to ban airlines?

Some of this could be a misunderstanding of permitted weather modification projects. As you can see this is where permits are applied for and the rules and laws surrounding it.
