Building my new sewing room! You may think it's all ballgowns and corsets, but before the sewing and the armor building can happen, there's a lot of sawdust, measuring, and power tools. Today the nail gun was getting more use than the sewing machine! As you can see this room is down to the studs for the renovation. It has a beautiful bay window that had been boxed in by previous owners, so I'm restoring that to its original glory because who doesnt love a bay window?? I can't wait to show you what this space looks like when it's finished! #diy #sewing #cosplay #workshop #chimeracostumes

Why did you not invest in locals? We don’t care if you close or open, you guys are used to cheap labour, closing instead of employing locals and teach them and give them skills. Sewing 🧵 is not difficult as you mentioned here, it takes a week to know the machine, some local have their machine sewing at home why are you not trying them? I smell your company was not registered, not even paying taxes. You employed 5 local and 20 foreign, now you want to change the story when interviewed.

As the collection was inspired by Ancient Greece, it was only fitting that the clothes were displayed for the first time at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Sicily - Italy. The noble temple, reflecting the tangerine yellow of the setting sun, stood like a rock of ages – taking Sicily back thousands of years to the artistic culture of ancient Greece. The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento belonged – for one night only – to Dolce & Gabbana, whose Alta Moda collection was shown on this historic site. Civilization of ancient Greece flourished from 8th Century BC to 600 CE. It was located in southeastern Europe along the coast of Mediterranean Sea and included modern-day countries of Greece and parts of Türkiye, Italy and Bulgaria. Today, ancient Greeks are known for their contributions to philosophy, politics, art, architecture, and science. They were also known for their unique clothing styles, inspired by their environment and cultural traditions. In movies about ancient Greece, characters portraying Greek citizens, soldiers, or mythological figures often wear these clothing styles. Characteristics of traditional Greek fashion included long, flowing garments made of lightweight materials such as linen or wool. When my parent's came to this country - it was the kindness of others that helped them along the way. My dad studied and worked so he could serve Canadians as a doctor. He studied on a dirt floor in Punjab and became the Head of Psychiatry in a Canadian hospital. Work hard and a live a good life - was the promise of Canada. A promise that New Democrats will restore.
