Shadow Generations did something I never thought was possible and that's ACTUALLY making me WANT 2D SONIC LEVELS IN A 3D GAME LOOK AT THIS SHIT MAN

Not only do I think Shadow Generations has the best level design of any boost game (and it's not close) I think the 2D levels are on the level of the best we've seen from the Genesis games and Mania. Way way better than Sonic Generations' 2D levels.

I almost wrote off Sunset Heights after Act 1 basically just being the exact same in nearly every way as actual forces level design, but Act 2 impressed me with all the different routes you can take in it

They feel so sonic-y. I’m honestly impressed that they finally surpassed the standard that gens set up
