Kyle Shanahan on Curtis Robinson: “He's really worked to get better each year, and he's a very talented guy. I think when he came here, he hadn't played in a system like this for a while. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. It was actually kind of a sad story, but it was about 20 minutes before he tours ACL, was the first time that I told him he'd be starting that week. It was his first start in his career, and he had earned it. We were going to move him ahead of Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles at the time. I had just told Flannigan, which was tough for Flannigan, but they were so tight, so he was happy for Curtis. Then it was about 20 minutes later that Curtis tore his ACL on special teams before he even got to a defensive rep. He was so coming in there and finally about to have his moment. Then he had that setback, which I know crushed the team for him. He's one of the most liked guys on our team, as good of a person and good of a dude as I've ever been around. He's worked for this moment, and we're excited to see him get his opportunity." via: 49ers on NBCS

Sturm on where Minten is in his growth in his first full pro season: "Sometimes it just takes time...I think he just has to grow. He's not a man yet, I think he's still a kid, and you can see it in his face. I think as soon as he gets a little bit bigger, I think then automatically he's going to get faster too. I think he has really good speed, and I think that's something he's going to get better at. Faceoffs, that's something we need him big time because he's going to kill for us, and we want him to be on power play too. "So there's a lot of little things I would say, but I'm not concerned, because the things you can't teach, he has it."

stefan van de graaff, director of “one of us,” on casting kit connor in the lead role: “that's actually really kind of incredible story. so we knew that we wanted to cast around the lead actor, which, in this case, is kit. he plays a character named youngest. we wanted to cast around it first. […] we went to independent, which is the talent agency that kit is repped by in the uk, and originally, we had approached other actors. i had kit on my shortlist as people that i wanted in the film, but when i reviewed his work, i thought he might just be a little bit too young for the role. so we actually went and approached a few other actors first, and we had one booked, but he got really sick and—literally two weeks before we were filming—so we went back to independent and they said, ‘who else are you looking at? is there anybody else that we can put on?’ and i had, again, reviewed kit's work in the past, and i said, ‘talk to me about kit. i love him. i think he's a brilliant actor. i think he has just the right look. i think he's a little young.’ and his agent was just really effusive about saying he's the most mature person you'll ever meet. he carries himself as an adult. yes, he's, you know, i think he was 19 at the time. but that will not come through in his effort and his, you know, his capability. and so i had a phone call with kit, and it was very clear that he punched well above his weight in terms of his age. he's wise beyond his years and was extremely talented and thorough, and so, cast him, and that has ended up being a really, really incredible sequence of events because i absolutely loved working with him, and i don't think the film is the film without him. so it's been very fortunate.” 🔗:

Jason Day was asked ahead of The Masters whether he has any empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through and he gave a brilliant answer that a lot of people can probably agree with: “So yeah, in regards to Tiger, it just shows the human element and the human side of someone that is struggling with some sort of an addiction. He's not immune to it just because he can hit a golf ball really well. He's had 25 to 30 something surgeries, and when you're going through that many procedures, it's painful coming out of those procedures. I've had procedures done and I typically try and stay away from all that stuff because I just know that -- painkillers, there can potentially be a downfall to it. “Granted, when I look at that, I look at it and go, he's just a human being like everyone else and we have struggles. It's unfortunate, the only thing that I don't understand is that it's a little bit selfish of him to drive and put other people in harm's way, as well. “But when you're the player that he was and how strong-willed he is, he thinks he can do almost anything, and that's probably why he's probably driving and a little bit under the influence. “He was my hero -- he's my hero. He was my hero growing up. The reason why I play golf is because of this tournament and Tiger. It's hard to see him go through what he's going through, and especially under the microscope that -- it must be hard to be who he is and have everything, everyone look on, kind of down on him. “Some people want him to fail. Some people obviously want him to succeed. It's really difficult for me to go through that and watch him, and I know that he's getting the help now, which is good. I'm just hoping he comes out on the other side and is better.” Well said. Jason Day The Masters

Saka on Thierry Henry reaching out: “Yeah, he messaged me earlier to be fair. I think he's outside. He told me he's coming. But yeah, it's been a consistent theme throughout the season, especially in the good and bad moments. So, yeah, I have a lot of love for him and I appreciate that. Reporter: Can you reveal what the message was? Saka: “No, it just said, afternoon, let it be well, I'm going to be here at the Open session and said, oh, perfect, see you after.”

Sturm on Steeves who has 5 goals in the last 5 games: "I brought him up from the minors and I put him in more like a checking role and a fourth liner, and now look at him. So, good for him and again, he's a guy I trust. We'll see, it's tough to get him out of the lineup, I can tell you that." "He's very professional, even when he didn't like to go down. I remember he said, 'I will be back and I'm going to do everything I can to show you,' and that's what I like. And the way he said it, I believed it."

🎙️ Chris Ryan on Brandon Miller: "I feel like I'm watching that early version of Kevin Durant where there's a learning process happening, but he's also like, 'There is really nothing I can't do.'" "On a nightly basis when I watch the Hornets, for as much as Kon is the reincarnation of Klay Thompson and LaMelo is so fun, I really find myself focusing on Brandon." 🎙️ Zach Lowe: "He does a little bit of everything, and their surge basically corresponds almost exactly to him getting healthy and having the best sustained stretch of his career. He's awesome. He's up to 38% from three." "When the playmaking comes with him—and you can see it, he kind of sees it. Sometimes he sees it late, sometimes he telegraphs it a little bit, sometimes he's a little laborious—but he sees it and he's trying to level up in that sense. And when that comes, look out." Shane van Gisbergen talking about his meeting with Austin Hill: "One person seemed more remorseful and eager to move on than the other." SVG says there was a "weird" dynamic in the meeting with Hill and how it ended. Seemed to indicate that Hill thinks it isn't over and that he made some kind of threat. "I think what's been cool about this sport, you can kind of sort it out yourselves and then I guess it gets to that point. To me it's at that point, but to him it's not. He's the kind of personality, I guess, who feels like he's got to get the last laugh or the last one to strike. And he threatened that, I guess. "But yeah, it is what it is. I'll try and race clean and do my own thing, but I guess he's on his own agenda. "... I know where I'm at with it, I want to move on. But he's not at the point." SVG says he feels like he's been able to race everyone in NASCAR with respect, and that if he's made a mistake and gotten into someone that they've been receptive to talking. "I never feel like I've been able to talk to Austin like that. I don't know, and then he just backs up and resorts to threatening violence. It's a weird thing." As far as how he races Hill moving forward: "At my point, we're obviously at zero, right? So I have to race with respect and try and start building it up, try and cut him breaks. If it doesn't come my way, I don't know how to fix him. But I'm gonna just try to carry on and race clean." SVG also mentioned that he's trying to stay in the Top 16 in points and make the Chase and that Hill might try and threaten that.

An emotion post round interview with Paul Casey, he reflects on his round "There was so much (to enjoy), maybe saving some of them pars coming in late, but birdie on 18 though, that was the highlight of the day with the great Swiss crowd. I love this place, I really do, so it's a wonderful day," "I'm 49 now, so I'm not sure how good everything is. There's ailments, for sure. Yes, there was a wrist problem earlier in the year, but I bounced back from that and actually play some really good golf when we went to New York a few weeks after, but I wasn't sure, I mean, thought that could have been the season. "There's always stuff. I think everybody out here's got stuff going on, but I honestly feel really good and I feel somewhat fresh, probably because I haven't played that much golf because I've missed a bit. "It's obviously good enough to shoot some good scores so I'm happy with it. "This is now home. I now live in Switzerland, so it would have made an awful lot. It feels like it feels like a home week for me. "And tomorrow, whatever happens, I hope I win and I'll be playing really hard, but I'll make sure that all my prize money as well is going to the charity and the victims of the fire here in Crans Montana, so I've got a lot to play for tomorrow." #OEM2026

Sean O'Malley on if he regrets giving his UFC championship belt to SteveWillDoIt: "Steve is a great human being. He means well. I know he's a little all over the place, and I hope he's doing good right now. He got me a lot of stuff when I first met him, and I wanted to give him something meaningful — and what better? That was the most meaningful thing I could have given him. I'm hoping it's not in a closet somewhere and that it’s propped up in a beautiful location… It could be in a pawn shop — very well could be — but I don’t think so. I would regret it if it ends up on eBay."

Anthony Kim will play with Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm tomorrow in the final group at LIV Golf Adelaide. They spoke about AK’s story: Bryson: “What an incredible story, first off. Going from the lowest of lows, almost moving away from this earth and then coming back and really taking accountability and raising his little girl and being a family man and being 1 percent better every day. It's an inspiring story that I think honestly should have a lot more media attention than it does. It deserves that. “It shows some of the opportunities that LIV Golf can provide and give hope to people. It's another opportunity to play. I think that's what's so brilliant about it is you've got a guy like that that's struggled pretty much his entire career, and this is really when he has become more of himself than any other time, more of a family man, a father, a great person that cares deeply about playing good golf now. That's all he cares about, and he loves it. I think that's really inspiring for anybody at any age, that you can pick it up and be a better person. “My hats off to him for doing everything he's doing, working as hard as he has to get back. He's an incredible talent, obviously; we know that. He's starting to show it, and for him to be in the final group will be fun. I actually haven't played with him yet, so it'll be fun to see how he golfs his ball.” Jon: “I was able to enjoy a car ride back to the hotel from the golf course in Riyadh, which somehow there's traffic at midnight there, so it was quite a bit over an hour, and he shared quite a bit of his story with me. What he's doing is nothing short of remarkable. “I really hope he can find the right person to tell his story, however form, movie, documentary series, book, whatever it is, because what he's doing is so impressive. Where he was at in life to where he's at now -- I've been able to play with him. I played in Singapore in his first season with him early on. Both of us played with him here last year in the first round, and I played with him yesterday, and the progression, the jump from those two times to yesterday, it's impressive. “The round he played yesterday on not the easiest golf course was incredible. Didn't really miss a shot. Shot 5-under and should have been lower because he did not make many putts. It was a flawless round of golf. It's impressive. It's impressive. “To see him now being part of a team after earning his spot back in the league, making a 15-footer on the second day to get into the final qualifying day, he's been proving it. “After everything he's gone through, if there's somebody that's not going to be scared to be out here and have to make the putts, it's somebody him like. I wouldn't be surprised if at this point this season he's somebody who's hoisting the trophy at the end of the week.” Hopefully AK can put on a show tomorrow and contend with them 👊

Marlon Humphrey on Ravens rookie WR Ja'Kobi Lane: "He's probably had the best training camp of anybody on the team, to be honest. He low key has really been hoopin. Very big time catch radius. A couple times I've been guarding him pretty tight and I just see Lamar look at me. I'm like 'is he about to throw this?' And then he just throws it and I'm like 'why'd he throw that over his head?' And then I look up, and the dude is catching it. I'm like, what the frick. ... Thinking we got a legit threat in that guy."

Luka Dončić Slovenian national team teammate Edo Murić: "Luka looks better and better when I see him every year now. He is now at that age where he is at a peak of his powers. He's not a kid anymore, now he's a man and he really looks good. I had a chance to feel that on my own skin. Everytime I see him with a ball he's better and better. So I can't wait for the next season to see him in even bigger role with Lakers. I just hope he stays healthy whole season. Because really, this could be his best season yet and I'm really looking forward to that." 📹: Martin Pavcnik

🚨💰🇪🇺 #COST OF DOING BUSINESS — Justin Rose calls on Jon Rahm to pay his outstanding fines… “Yeah, listen, I would like to see Jon -- how many guys, eight? The other seven did it. So obviously eight did it and Jon didn't. So I mean, there's pretty decent precedent that the deal wasn't outrageous that they were proposing….” “But at the same time, I would like to see Jon pay his fines for sure and be a part of the Ryder Cup. For me, obviously playing on LIV was a decision that he made and wanted to make, and fair play to him for making it and good for him….” “He's playing good golf out there. He's winning. He's making a lot of money, and he's - you know, you can't argue, can't knock what he's been able to achieve out there….” “So I would just see it as a cost of doing business for Jon. Like for me, being in the Ryder Cup is more than about money. What I would say, where he may have a point is the Tour making him play extra events. Maybe he has a point there.” “So maybe there's some middle ground where he would do his best to support the Tour as and when, but not necessarily have that hung over his head, but paying his fines is obviously step No. 1.”
