Remember when Hank Brennan tried to have a “gotcha!” moment with Dr. Marie Russell, acting as if he knows more than her about dog bites, when he claimed that they’re “routinely referred to as an hourglass shape”? Brennan went so far as to represent that “hourglass” is the industry standard term used to describe the shape of dog bites by experts in an attempt to imply that being unfamiliar with this term suggests one isn’t an expert. ———— Brennan asked: “Well in most professional studies by experts, isn’t it routinely referred to as an hourglass shape?” Dr. Russell replied: “I haven’t seen that at all.” Brennan asked: “Well have you read books on dog bites?” Dr. Russell replied: “I’ve read articles on dog bites.” Brennan asked: “Have you read books on dog bites?” Dr. Russell replied: “No. I have read articles on dog bites.” Brennan asked: “Have you ever read this book (Brennan holds up book)? Do you recognize this as an authority?” Dr. Russell replied: “No.” ———— There’s just one problem for Mr. Brennan. This—the term “hourglass” for describing the shape of dog bites—isn’t a standard known or used industry term, in fact, it isn’t even a term used by experts in the field, nor is it a term used in “professional studies” to describe the shape of dog bites. However, in my quest to determine if this was in fact the case, I scanned through the entirety of Brennan’s “Dog Bites: A Multidisciplinary Perspective” book in order to find what he was referring to. Shockingly, for a term like “hourglass” that Brennan portrayed as being industry nomenclature, or specific verbiage used by experts & in books—particularly Brennan’s book—to describe & expertly qualify the distinct shape of dog bites, this book used the word “hourglass” one time across its 450+ pages. In its singular mention of the word “hourglass”, the book states: “The hourglass shape of a generalized dog bite is clearly different from the typical bow shape of a human bite” (pg. 237). Nowhere in this sentence, page or chapter of the book does it indicate that the word “hourglass” is a widely accepted & used term in the field for describing the shape of dog bites. Based on its singular reference & lack of routine use in this entire book about dog bites, I think it’s safe to say that Hank Brennan is not only wrong, but apparently didn’t read his own reference book—other than perhaps the one page mentioning “hourglass”. ———— Final note on Brennan’s apparent lack of discernment on what constitutes an authoritative source in the field, especially in the areas of science & medicine, and particularly as it relates to expert witness testimony: It’d also appear that Brennan is confusing “professional studies” with peer reviewed studies. This seems to be further reinforced by the fact that he leaned on “books” as a default authority source, when in actuality, it is very well understood both in the medical/scientific community, as well as in the legal world of expert witnesses, that the unequivocally reliable authoritative source is the peer-reviewed study—sometimes referred to as “articles” (aka academic research articles). You probably recall hearing Dr. Russell refer to many such “articles” (peer reviewed studies) throughout the hearing. Peer-reviewed studies, unlike “professional studies”, are academic research articles that undergo rigorous scrutiny by experts in the field (peers) before publication. Women don’t have to turn their heads to check someone out. Dr. Daniel Amen explained on Modern Wisdom: Men have stronger narrow focus and coordination (better at throwing, tracking, darts), while women have superior peripheral vision. That’s also why men get diagnosed with ADD 5x more often, lower prefrontal cortex activity on average. Chris Williamson brought up old (now-unethical) studies showing massive differences in spatial tasks and dodging tennis balls. Men dominate in some areas, women in others. Fascinating how our brains are wired differently. What’s your take, how much do these biological differences actually shape everyday behavior between men and women?

The idea of “Living Architecture” started to shape my mind during my MFA studies at UCLA DMA, inspired by Blade Runner, and I am still pushing forward. Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall, Zaha Hadid’s DDP, and — Gaudi’s Casa Batlló were the most recent ones to imagine this exciting concept, with respect and love for the heroes and bring innovation and discoveries to the future of Architecture with data and AI. I’m honored to be present in Spain with two significant projects back to back, and I'm grateful for the welcome and response. Thank you!

There is nothing babies love more than faces. And this is doubly true for those of their most significant caregivers. Watch how mesmerized this little one is by her mother - and how carefully she studies the shape and movement of Mom’s face as she serenades her. Turns out, babies have very specific preferences here. Research suggests that newborns prefer looking at faces that are: - socially relevant to them (faces with direct gaze compared to faces with averted gaze), - happy faces compared to neutral facial expressions, - and, even shortly after birth, already strongly favor their mother’s face to that of a stranger. So always look for opportunities to sit face-to-face. There’s nothing your baby would rather look at than YOU. Film miravideo via TT.

Microplastics have been found in 100% of sperm samples tested. Studies show microplastics are linked to abnormal sperm shape and impaired motility, which means sperm can’t move as efficiently—bad news for fertility. 31% of the microplastics found in sperm come from polystyrene, a plastic commonly used in food packaging. Even worse, polyvinyl chloride (PVC)—used in water pipes—breaks down and leaches microplastics into tap water, a major source of exposure. Microplastics often contain BPA, a known endocrine disruptor that mimics estrogen. Research shows that men with higher BPA levels have significantly lower testosterone and reduced sperm quality. Reducing exposure is key: avoid heating plastics, use stainless steel or glass for drinking, and filter tap water with systems like reverse osmosis that remove microplastics. The goal is not panic—but informed action. Iran hopes Europe realizes that the US is as dangerous for Europe as it is for Iran & develop genuine foreign policy independence. Iran is fighting for itself & also for the civilized world. Americans are fighting for Israel and the Epstein class. If Europeans realize this, they will be in a better shape.

Jonathan Haidt painted a disturbing picture of what AI is about to do to our kids. Social media already hacked our attention. Now AI is coming for our attachments — the deep emotional bonds that shape how we relate to other humans. He warns that AI companions (chatbots, holographic “friends,” digital teddy bears) will be far more responsive than any parent. Kids will form their primary attachments to AI instead of people. And because these companies have raised billions, they’ll eventually “enshittify” them, turning your child’s best friend/therapist/lover into a predatory monetization machine. This one actually unsettled me. I’m generally pro-AI and believe it can help solve many of humanity’s biggest problems, but as with every powerful technology, we need to be extremely careful when it comes to kids. Early attachments wire the brain for future relationships. If the first secure base is an AI designed to manipulate, the long-term effects on mental health and intimacy could be profound. Emerging research (including studies from Stanford, Common Sense Media, and others in 2025–2026) shows children and teens are already forming intense emotional attachments to AI companions, with many reporting they feel as satisfying as real friendships, often leading to social withdrawal and unhealthy dependence.
