Sharing our computer vision system design for TRON: Ares. We approached these shots from the perspective of the machine. The frame becomes a field of observation. Every pixel is potential information waiting to be interpreted. The process begins by squarepacking the live action plates, dividing the image into a... show more

As you’re probably aware, the artist behind many of the Tron: Legacy UI designs sadly passed away. We think you did a fantastic job carrying that visual language forward and continuing to present it as art. I’m fairly certain she would have appreciated what you all created.

The moment I saw anything design related from the movie, I knew you were behind it. Thanks, guys for the excellent work. Also, really funny easter egg when Ares focuses on one of the overseer women and analyzes her response to his presence.

This film was beautiful. Story could have been better but the visuals were amazing. Your crew did excellent work.

yall did amazing and i loved every second, microsecond of the work....

This is the kind of design deep dive that makes me miss the early 2010s internet when people actually shared process. The "machine vision" framing is chef's kiss.

SICK

Tron: Ares is essentially porn for immersed in current technology stacks. From the very first frames I was hoocked by the parallels between Dillinger's and Anduril software

The best parts of the Tron movies (who was the Gmunk in the first one?)

That’s so deep. Scrubbing needed to fully appreciate 🔥

Do I see some Yanobox Mosaic in there? I love that plugin and no one uses it!

Incredible. Love the thought behind it all. Could watch this on repeat all day.

I appreciate the creativity. But idk, something about it felt so off and completely detached the UIs and feel established within Tron: Legacy

Super cool. Loved this effect in the movie.

TRON visuals never disappoint.

amazing !

Amazing work!

Super rad ⚡🧠🧠🧠

That machine-eye framing makes the frame feel alive, like data breathing, especially in those neon glitches

so cool!

Stunning work

@Ry_Hawthorne Bro worked harder on this effect than the writers worked on the whole film.

Un-freaking-believable. Pure eye candy!

Incredible job 🔥

So good!

this is where design and machine intelligence start blending into something wild

the machine perspective on this is so sick ngl

stunning as usual!!

This is nothing.

Feels like a lot of effort for something that looks worse than something you'd shit out in After Effects after watching a Andrew Kramer tutorial in 2003

the machine-pov framing here is so clean, every readout reads like it's actually parsing the plate

@CDPROJEKTRED @PaweSasko - We'd love to channel the care and attention we put into this into helping you make Orion even better 🙏 🤟
