Operated by the “Sons of Khors” unit, this is likely the first confirmed hit on such a system, which detects aerial targets and coordinates multiple air defense assets, including foreign-made ones.

This facility is an important element of the Russian oil transportation structure and is part of the Transneft-Upper Volga JSC pipeline system. The drone reaches speeds of up to 400 km/h, operates at a range of up to 45 km, and at altitudes of up to 6 km. A Brave1 participant has developed a solution: a compact, AI-powered turret that detects, tracks, and neutralizes drones autonomously. The operator simply authorizes the strike. The system is capable of detecting and neutralizing both small aerial targets and high-speed cruise missiles. It has already proven effective in combat conditions, with dozens of Shaheds successfully destroyed. The system is equipped with a 12.7mm M2 Browning heavy machine gun, 360-degree thermal and day/night vision cameras, a laser rangefinder, and a dedicated AI-powered targeting and processing computer. Its integration with SENTINEL radars enables automatic detection, tracking, lock-on, and precision elimination of targets—earning it the nickname “Shahed Hunter.” How the system works: Once a target enters the engagement zone, the AI processes data from the laser rangefinder, including altitude and speed. When calculations are complete, the operator receives a confirmation on the monitor that the target is locked. The operator then presses a button to initiate a precisely timed burst from the M2 Browning. A short spray of bullets is enough to intercept and down the Shahed drone with direct fire. Each Sky Sentinel unit costs approximately $150,000. To effectively defend a city, around 30 such systems are required. Mass production is currently underway.
