Sharing this 16mm scan of Fleischer Studio's Superman (1941) - complete with that vintage film grain and muted colors we all remember from public domain VHS tapes. The animation is still mind-blowing after 80+ years. Pretty sure my childhood TV had more scratches than this print though 😅🎬

Beautiful cartoon. Timeless, with retro charm. The Fleischer Studio was no slouch. I've read that several Fleischer animators went on to work for Walt Disney.

We had some good times with Blockbuster didn’t we? Oh the memories of going in on a Saturday night to pick a movie with my brothers. I remember my mom wanted a movie so bad and it was all “sold out.” As my brothers and I went to leave the cashier was like “wait that movie just came in.” I was like 16 years old and that joy still sticks with me to this day. I wish I could remember what movie though.😂 You had to be there to understand. ❤️

Jack Nicholson is 89 years old but he stopped acting 16 years ago when he gave his final performance in the James L. Brooks films How Do You Know. This reunited Nicholson with Brooks, a long time friend & collaborator, and Jack still had some juice in this film. I’ll always maintain that Jack stepped away from acting a little early. I think he definitely had more roles in the tank after this one. My favorite actor.

A cool #CartoonNetwork promo from back in the day. I was Animation Director on this, all on paper, with X-sheets! I don't remember the title but the file is just called Shermie. I worked with other animators on this but there were a few places that I animated. I think it was one of the first that had #SpaceGhost (and of course I took those scenes), which looking back has some keys that I don't love. But what I do still love is the #Smurf home getting crushed which I animated all myself, on 1's, at 30 fps. Though fast, it's one of my favorite things I've animated, having both character and FX animation.

Hot take: Game menus peaked in the 90s. That music could play 30 years from now and I'd still see the game menu in my mind. You could show me a picture of that menu in 30 years and I'd still hear the music. Clear signs of a game that was so much more... it's become part of gaming history's essence and soul. This was all we needed for a perfect LAN weekend among friends. Well, and someone with IPX/SPX and TCP/IP skills :)

I am sharing real world footage with you and telling you that you can press a button from some back corner lot and this car will get you home from a parking spot with more grace and smoothness than the best limo driver you’ve ever had before. I live this video daily and I still encounter a line of clowns on this platform who tell me I’m hallucinating. You all crack me up so hard. I’m buying every dip with a massive grin on my face.

There’s still work to be done. As Mayor, I will make sure the PATH remains affordable to working families and continue the work I started on the council to ensure we see these commitments through.

Doug Ford in September 2021 at the end of this clip said this regarding the segregation passport system. “This is the right decision for our kids, for our businesses & for all Ontarians” It turned out it was one of the worst decisions he could have ever made. My daughters were banned from dance classes, we were all banned from society, I was fired after 19 years of work and for what? This decision caused more harm than good and still not one person has answered for it.
