Elon: "There is some chance that HW3 does not achieve the safety level that allows for unsupervised FSD. There is some chance of that. And if that turns out to be the case, we will upgrade those who bought hardware 3 FSD for free. We're going to have to upgrade people's hardware 3 computer for those that have bought Full Self-Driving. And that is the honest answer. And that's going to be painful and difficult, but we'll get it done. What we want to do is we want to get unsupervised done on Hardware 4 first. Once it's done, then we'll go back and look at what we need to do with Hardware 3 cars. Yeah, we've not completely given up on HW3, but we do want to solve autonomy first, and then we'll come back with a way to take care of customers. These customers are very important. They were the early adopters. We will definitely take care of you guys. Once the V14 release series is fully done, we are planning on working on a V14 lite version for Hardware 3, probably expected in Q2 next year"

We have 6 different models of CNC machines already designed and validated for production but we would need crores to scale up production and offer it to other manufacturers. Hence, we only build machines for our own production facility. Capital is a bottleneck for us. Currently we just have a tiny space within our own factory which is our R&D lab. We are a team of mere three people. Scaling hardware isn’t easy but it’s something that must be done for us to truly be self-reliant. Really appreciate your efforts Sridhar Vembu to build these hardware tools here. We must build more factories and hardware products in the country. Long way to go before I sleep.

More than a year of work on the FLEX-LTV design culminated last month with a week of detailed presentations and demos to NASA for the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services contract Preliminary Design Review. From showcasing the FLEX rover's hardware and the tests we have put it through to our mission control setup to our FLIP test vehicle, we were proud to exhibit what our team has created. In addition to welcoming representatives from NASA, we were joined by our partners from Axiom Space and Odyssey Space Research who have contributed invaluable work to making FLEX the highly capable rover it is today. Quick update that we’re still waiting for the final approval of our DeFi Wallet on iOS. We want everyone to have access at the same time, just like our approach to Web3: making it accessible, easy, and simple for everyone, so we have decided to wait with Android version, too. Yes, the delay is really annoying, and we can't wait to get it out and into your hands, but the wait will be worth it.
