This is the worst art restoration in history. An 81-year-old woman with no training did it. In broad daylight. With the priest's permission. And nobody stopped her. The original was called Ecce Homo, a small fresco of Christ crowned with thorns, painted around 1930 by the Spanish artist Elías García Martínez straight onto the wall of a church in Borja, in northeastern Spain. After eighty years the damp in the walls had begun to eat the paint away, so in 2012 a parishioner named Cecilia Giménez decided to save it. She was 81, she had loved painting all her life, but she had no training whatsoever. What she left on the wall was a blurred and wide-eyed face staring out of the plaster. When the town saw it, officials assumed the church had been vandalised, and reportedly considered taking legal action. Then they found out it was Cecilia. She could not understand the fuss. "The priest knew it," she told Spanish television. "I've never tried to do anything hidden." She also insisted she had not even finished. She had left the paint to dry and gone away for two weeks, intending to come back and complete the job. She never got the chance... Within days the image had crossed the planet. The internet named it Ecce Mono, and Monkey Jesus, and Potato Jesus, and turned it into thousands of memes. Not everyone was laughing. For the people who prayed in that church, it was not a joke at all. Some of them called it a desecration, and some called it blasphemy. Whatever the world saw in the image, they had lost the face they had knelt in front of all their lives. And people now travel across the world to see the thing that replaced it. In the year after the "restoration", around 57,000 visitors came to Borja, a town most of them could not have found on a map. But the point is this: the beautiful face that Elías García Martínez painted is gone... Nobody ever thinks about him. He was a trained artist and a teacher at the fine arts school in Zaragoza, and around 1930 he stood in front of that wall and painted the face of Christ onto it by hand. The whole world knows what happened to his painting. Almost nobody knows his name.

For ⭕️Faerie ❤️ Calling her an artist barely covers it. She did not simply make art. She made environments. Light, fabric, color, movement, paintings, installations, canopies, flags. She created entire worlds that people could enter, stand beneath, and experience. Then she came to X and did the same thing with words. She was a Jew and a lioness. She fought antisemitism and stood unapologetically for Israel and the Jewish people. She spoke for people whose voices were being crushed. She carried stories others ignored and demanded that the world pay attention. She was fierce without surrendering her tenderness. There were Shabbat candles. Torah. Humor. Nature. Warmth. Beauty. A wish for peace sent across the world from her paradise island in Thailand. She once wrote that she spent her working days “fighting my heart out here.” She did. Heart first. All of it. That is what made her special. She did not separate the artist from the fighter, the Jew from the lioness, or the lioness from the beautiful soul. They were all the same woman. One of her final gifts to us was a Shabbat blessing, wishing her friends peace and the company of those they loved. May that peace surround her now. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Every time Whoopi Goldberg opens her mouth about racism, hate, and “division,” I flash right back to that 1993 Friars Club roast. There she was, glowing, laughing, loving every second, while the man she was dating, Ted Danson, strutted on stage in blackface, cracking jokes at her event. She didn’t storm out. She didn’t scream “racism!” She was beaming. Happy as hell. Yet today, we’re supposed to believe she’s outraged by the very things she once laughed through and defended. Because that’s what I can’t reconcile. She’s a paid performer. A Hollywood lifer who has spent decades in the spotlight, and to me, the contrast between then and now raises a lot of questions. She’ll condemn behavior today that she appeared willing to overlook when it involved someone close to her. Hands down. That’s why I have a hard time taking the outrage seriously. The hypocrisy is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Wake up, folks… She’s a Hollywood grifter!

Why has Maria quietly removed her NOT AIRBORNE tweet? Is she trying to remove evidence of her NOT AIRBORNE disinformation campaign to help lessen the likelihood that the history books will document this aspect of her role at WHO and the likelihood she will go down in history as having contributed to untold numbers of preventable deaths and avoidable human suffering? It seems she would like to portray herself in a more positive light, ironically more as a heroic fighter of disinformation, saving lives through accurate science based information and guidance. Angie….Wow. This has taken me a couple of days to digest. I had the pleasure of knowing this queen since the very beginning of my true musical journey. I was looking for a background singer and sax player for my first club tour and she walked into my life at an audition. I instantly knew that I was in the presence of greatness. We did a tour together and became family. Being from down south (as we called it) she reminded me of my grandmother and her people who were from a small town in Georgia. We bonded over music, humour, and southern cuisine which she cooked with great joy. She knew her food tasted better than everyone else’s and it did. She had a phrase that I loved, "Lenny, I am overly confident". She believed it and so did I. She went on to become Angie Stone and changed the face of music as a solo artist, becoming known as the queen of neo soul. She already had an illustrious past but this was now HER time. As a black woman who was told she was not the right age, not the right look, etc she busted through and never looked back. The rest is history. Writer, producer, arranger, musician and master vocalist. The best of the best. I got to play on some of those great recordings and they are treasures in my mind and spirit. My deepest condolences to Diamond, Michael Jr and the entire family. LK

Records show that Olivia Julianna works as a Political Director at Gen-Z for Change. Many already know this. However, she has not disclosed that Colin Allred has PAID her multiple times. She has received several thousand dollars to support/post about him. This wouldn't be such a large issue, except she has blatantly lied multiple times. Olivia is 21 years old and has a large following. Over 380k on X and over 700k on TikTok. With such a following, you would hope that one would use such power by spreading the truth. But she does the exact opposite. She has lied about herself and she has lied about her parents. Even more concerning is that her father KNOWS she is lying, but is going along with this anyways and has made appearances in her cringy short films about "door knocking" and he has made several media appearances. So now we know who she learned to lie from. Olivia does not share her last name. So it took a little longer to find much of this information. We know why she doesn't share it. She has gotten away with lying to her audience for far too long. On June 17th, 2023, she claimed she was "unpaid in a political capacity". But on May 31st, 2024, and June 7th, 2024, Olivia received disbursements from the Allred campaign. What changed, sister? Olivia recently claimed that her dad "voted Republican all his life". 3 years ago Refik Anadol & Efsun, together with the royal family of the forest, the Yawanawa, dreamed of a project that could share the crossover of traditional indigenous art with futuristic pigments of AI. They dreamed of building a community to not only host their family, but also bring together their indigenous brothers and sisters from around the world. Aldeia Sagrada was reimagined. We 1OF1 are very honoured & deeply grateful that Refik Anadol & the Yawanawa family have chosen us to be the steward of their historic collaborative art work, the Winds of Yawanawa 1of1. Last week my family & I had the privilege to join Indigenous Nations from across the Amazon basin & around the world as they came together for a truly historic & deeply beautiful moment at the Indigenous Ayahuasca Conference in Acre, Brasil, where Indigenous leaders shared their ancient wisdom, beautiful art & wonderful energy with each other. As someone who has built infra in Brazil, I can confirm that what Refik Anadol and the Yawanawa family have built in Aldeia Sagrada is absolutely breathtaking & indescribable. The infrastructure & organization of their wonderful community is incredible. They have proven to the world a model for synergistic alliances between traditional Indigenous nations with new technologists, creatives and builders that can both massively support these native communities as well as celebrate the preservation of their way of life. I found myself overwhelmed with emotion at points throughout the week witnessing how amazing this place and these people are. It is with all of the lessons of 1OF1’s global tours in hand & our hearts filled with a deep sense of mission, that we commit to share this iconic work of art with the world in conversation with other works of Amazonian indigenous art.
