RIGHT TO JAIL! Around 8:30 p.m. last night, a stolen vehicle was detected near Lake Mead and Hollywood through our License Plate Reader (LPR) technology. Officers moved in to conduct a felony vehicle stop, but the driver took off, driving dangerously and weaving into oncoming traffic. There was no pursuit, however, the driver continued driving dangerously and eventually crashed into another vehicle near Linn Lane and Lake Mead Blvd. The person in that vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but thankfully, there were no serious injuries. The driver ran into a nearby backyard, but LVMPD's AIR5 guided officers to his location. He surrendered and was taken into custody. SAINT PAUL: 6xx Saint Anthony Ave. - Squads were called to a burglary of an occupied residence where the suspect allegedly broke in, punched the resident, and stole their car keys before taking the car. Stolen Guitar Recovered, Suspect Arrested Following Foot Pursuit On June 1 at approximately p.m., officers were dispatched to a reported theft in progress at 1611 Redmond Way, Redmond. A store employee reported that a suspect entered the store, stole a guitar valued at approximately $880, and fled the area on foot toward the nearby light rail station. Officers quickly located the suspect aboard a train and recovered the stolen guitar onboard. The suspect then fled from the train onto the light rail tracks and jumped an estimated 15 feet from the top of the downtown light rail station to a roof below in an attempt to evade officers. Officers established a coordinated perimeter with transit security and safely contained the area. The suspect was ultimately located and taken into custody without further incident. The stolen guitar was recovered and returned to the business. The store employee positively identified the suspect, who was taken into custody on theft and obstruction charges. Turns out hiding under a trampoline isn't much of a plan when we've got eyes in the sky… Just before 11 p.m. last Friday, our officers received a Flock Safety alert on a stolen Hyundai Tucson traveling through Aurora. With real-time updates from our Real Time Information Center (RTIC), officers safely tracked the vehicle before deploying a Grappler to bring it to a controlled stop near Montview Boulevard and Iola Street. That's when everyone decided to make a run for it. All in different directions. But we had the manpower for that. Two juvenile passengers were quickly taken into custody after short foot pursuits. The driver had a different idea. After hopping multiple fences, he crawled underneath a backyard trampoline hoping officers wouldn't find him. Unfortunately for him, our drone was still watching. Officers immediately established a perimeter while RTIC and our drone team guided officers on the ground. Working alongside our K9 Unit, the driver was located and taken into custody without incident. A search of the stolen vehicle also uncovered a firearm and spent shell casings. The 18-year-old driver was arrested on probable cause of motor vehicle theft, obstructing a peace officer, second degree criminal trespass and driving while revoked. Two juvenile passengers were also arrested on probable cause including motor vehicle trespassing and obstructing a peace officer. Both also had outstanding warrants. From Flock alerts and the RTIC to the Grappler, drones, K9s and good old-fashioned police work, this arrest is another example of how technology and teamwork help our officers safely take suspects into custody and keep Aurora safe. On March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Dallas Police officers assigned to the Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force located a vehicle that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking on March 15. The officers called for additional units and AIR-1 to maintain visual contact with the vehicle before attempting a traffic stop in the 12300 block of Greenville Avenue. As officers approached and ordered the driver to exit the vehicle, the car took off, and the officers immediately began to pursue it. With AIR-1 overhead, the suspect drove the wrong way down Greenville Avenue, and officers chased the driver onto I-635 with the suspect’s speed approaching 120 miles per hour. The suspect exited the freeway at Jupiter Road and continued to speed through residential areas. Because the helicopter was tracking the suspect, officers were able to safely navigate the residential areas and surface streets, following the suspect back onto I-635. The suspect sped through a construction zone, again reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour until he exited on Town East Boulevard and headed into the City of Mesquite, driving into oncoming traffic into the 2000 block of Town East Boulevard. With traffic building ahead, the suspect attempted to drive over the median and his vehicle became disabled. Dallas Police officers, assisted by officers from Mesquite and deputies from the Dallas Sheriff’s Office, took the suspect into custody. He was identified as 46-year-old Alfredo Hernandez and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony; Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony; Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a second-degree felony; and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, a third-degree felony. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. This investigation is documented under case number 037178-2026.

NEW: Chicago police open fire on the driver of a wanted vehicle in Humboldt Park. According to police, the white Mercedes was possibly linked to a shooting that happened on Monday. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the man started driving before allegedly hitting a woman and crashing into a CTA bus multiple times. "The vehicle struck an adult female pedestrian in the street and continued to flee... [He] struck the bus multiple times with the vehicle and struck an unmarked squad car," police said, adding that a gun was recovered from the vehicle. "As officers attempted to stop the vehicle and place the driver into custody, one officer discharged their service weapon, striking the offender." The man was hit in the chest and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The family of the man claims he was getting food when he was "swarmed by officers" and says they thought police could have done more to de-escalate the situation. The woman who was hit by the Mercedes was injured. Two officers suffered minor injuries.

This is why we pursue➡️🚨 Just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, District 2 officers, while on proactive patrol, spotted a Nissan Maxima near East Alameda Avenue and South Sable Boulevard. The car had no license plate, and the driver was wearing a ski mask. Both, immediate red flags. Officers attempted to stop the car…but of course the driver didn’t stop. That’s when the pursuit began.🚔 Within a matter of minutes, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a cluster of small trees near East Alameda Avenue and South Havana Street. The driver, 33-year-old Sean Wroblewski, revved the engine trying to flee again even though there was no way out. Officers gave commands to exit the vehicle. Wroblewski, out of options, eventually complied and was taken into custody. He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Accountability hurts sometimes. When officers searched the vehicle, it was a frenzy of stolen and illegal items. Buckle up because it’s an impressive list. ◾A handgun with a defaced serial number. ◾21 grams of methamphetamine. ◾Birth Certificates that were definitely not Wroblewski’s. ◾More than 35 suspected stolen credit cards. ◾About 50 fraudulent checks. ◾A large amount of stolen mail. This is why we pursue. This is why proactive policing matters. Because law abiding citizens don’t run from police. Because our community deserves better. This is why we pursue➡️🚨 Just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, District 2 officers, while on proactive patrol, spotted a Nissan Maxima near East Alameda Avenue and South Sable Boulevard. The car had no license plate, and the driver was wearing a ski mask. Both, immediate red flags. Officers attempted to stop the car…but of course the driver didn’t stop. That’s when the pursuit began.🚔 Within a matter of minutes, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a cluster of small trees near East Alameda Avenue and South Havana Street. The driver, 33-year-old Sean Wroblewski, revved the engine trying to flee again even though there was no way out. Officers gave commands to exit the vehicle. Wroblewski, out of options, eventually complied and was taken into custody. He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Accountability hurts sometimes. When officers searched the vehicle, it was a frenzy of stolen and illegal items. Buckle up because it’s an impressive list. ◾A handgun with a defaced serial number. ◾21 grams of methamphetamine. ◾Birth Certificates that were definitely not Wroblewski’s. ◾More than 35 suspected stolen credit cards. ◾About 50 fraudulent checks. ◾A large amount of stolen mail. This is why we pursue. This is why proactive policing matters. Because law abiding citizens don’t run from police. Because our community deserves better. ROBBINSDALE: Officers were just in pursuit of a suspect on northbound Hwy. 100, eventually moving in for a PIT maneuver and disabling the vehicle near Co. Rd. 81. The suspect was compliant and taken into custody by around 4:15 p.m.
