One Friday, I was bringing Shabbat dinner to Holocaust survivors when I met Edith. Edith is a 98 year old survivor from Austria. She lost every single member of her family. Edith's family made the unimaginable decision to give her away to another family that was able to flee. She told me about the last time she saw her father as he put her on a train and collapsed. She never saw her family again. When she got to the UK, the family that said they would care for her abandoned her. She grew up completely alone. But she figured it out. She wound up having a successful career, finding a great husband, and moving to America. At the end of our conversation, she goes back to work and we make a date to meet for ice cream.

A few hours ago, I checked on Baby Tai and once again I was reminded that watoto have a special kind of love, pure, innocent, and real. Just like Baby James yesterday, she ran straight to me, not knowing the pain surrounding her. Little does she understand that her mother, Anita, is no more taken away in such a painful and cruel way. What hurts even more is that this tragedy happened right in front of her a child too young to comprehend such horror. Since yesterday, she keeps asking me only one thing: “Let’s go to the hospital, I want to see mum.” Those words cut deep, because in her heart, she still believes her mother is just unwell that she will see her again. My heart is bleeding. No child deserves this kind of pain. I pray that God protects Baby Tai, surrounds her with His love, and gives her a future filled with peace, strength, and hope the kind her mother dreamed of for her. We will stand with her. We will support her. She will not walk this journey alone. The devil is a liar. Stay strong, Baby Tai… we are here for you.

The flower girl finally won! She appeared in every episode, hoping for a chance to meet Basara and thank him as a fan, but she couldn’t do it, she got interrupted every single time and i really felt sorry for her. Basara's music means a lot to her, probably because his songs helped her through tough times. She’s a nameless character in this story, but she still felt important because I was looking forward to her finally getting the chance to give those flowers to Basara. She’s one of my favorite side characters, even though she hardly spoke.

I don’t understand why the internet is being unkind to this woman, yes she had two kids by the time she was 17. Sometimes things happen and you just roll with it, as far as we can see, she is trying the best as she can, she cleans and wakes up early everyday to make meals for her family. Before you judge notice at the end how there is a plate for her child and her boyfriend, her other child is on formula, she didn’t make a plate for herself. She knows money is tight and she puts them first before herself. I don’t think it matters if she started a family young like this, we don’t know her situation, do you feel she’s doing as best as she can with the hand she’s dealt?
