I think he waited until the Queen passed to engage to write the book. His anger is with Charles the King. And I agree Charles Spencer is putting it to rest what happened in the twilight of his life. He has also witnessed what the RF has done to Harry and both brothers by fostering a split in their relationship which would have devastated Diana.
