West or East, home is best 🇧 🌻Right now at the Burundian Embassy in Nairobi, queues of nationals are scrambling for travel papers back to Gitega & Bujumbura — joined by Rwandans and Congolese fleeing petty trade and hawking they would built for years. All this, after Ruto’s September 2 directive ordering foreign small traders to shut down by today. 🌻Kenya once boasted “when people cannot travel, we all become net losers.” Now the same government is pushing East Africa’s own to the border, papers in hand, dignity in question. 🌻Painful to watch. Worse to justify. #KenyaForKenyans? At what cost to Ubuntu? … BTW, how come the Chinese are not affected? (Asking for a friend)

Our medical tourism in India will soon become very costly 🌻There were better options of asking them out of Kenya — including a diplomatic negotiation. Not a presidential decree (in Sheng language) at a public rally — solely meant for winning #Elections2027. 🌻PM Narendra Modi govt is yet to respond but I hope he will be lenient on innocent Kenyans — with strong and long cultural and socio-economic links to his country
