He said that the pattern of blood on the ceiling and all four walls of the room indicated that the blood was deposited there by repeatedly swinging an object. Basically something like a baton beating a person then swinging in the air, blood flies off and ends up on the walls and then the baton hits the person and back up. Put on repeat. He called it a “cast-off” pattern. She, apparently crawled to the door, leaned her head on it, opened it and crawled out. The blood pattern on the floor, according to the analyst, matches this. But somehow, the prosecution and the defense had to be caught up in an argument about whether her head indeed touched the door.
