NEW: Afroman appeals judge’s dismissal of his trespass and property damage claims against Adams County sheriff’s office Afroman is appealing a ruling by Judge Jonathan Hines that dismissed his counterclaims against the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for trespass and destruction of property related to the 2022 raid on his home. The judge ruled in early 2025 that the officers’ actions were privileged because they were executing a lawful search warrant. Afroman is also appealing the decision requiring him to split court costs with the officers. Happy 4/20.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police conducted our first of many enhanced expressway patrols targeting drivers using the shoulder to bypass slower traffic. In just a few hours, we pulled over and ticketed more than 100 vehicles, 49 of which were captured on video riding the shoulder by our new police helicopter. Using the shoulder to pass slower traffic is dangerous and can lead to catastrophic accidents. Violations carry up to a $1000 fine. Please be aware if you’re driving on the shoulder, we will pull you over!

This man’s wife went into labor while in his truck so he sped up to get to the nearest hospital. Apparently, the Holmes county sheriff caught him and pulled him over as he was entering the hospital parking lot . The man explained the situation about his wife, and the sheriff’s reply was instead of speeding you should’ve pulled over and waited for the EMT to come.. The sheriff proceeded to give him a ticket once he got to the hospital instead of an escort . You can hear his frustration in the video. He’s not getting violent with the sheriff, but he is telling him off and in this case I agree this sheriff was completely out of line. Did the man break the speeding law,? sure he did, but he had a good reason. Obviously, this sheriff is in the minority, I believe most cops would have escorted this gentleman, and his wife to the hospital and got them checked in properly to make sure that she was OK, but like any other profession, there’s good and bad.. and this is an example of an extremely bad decision on the sheriffs part in my opinion.
