SHERLOCK (2010) instantly understood how to make Holmes feel modern without losing what made him Holmes. Text messages replace telegrams, blogs replace Watson’s stories, and deductions literally appear across the screen.

Yes, worked shockingly well in fact, and due in no small part to Cumberpatch, who was brilliant. I'm sure like many fans, always lamented so few shows made, a couple more seasons at least would've been great, but what we do have are all like little gems to be coveted!

The wildest part? They didn't have to change Watson's backstory. In 1887 he came home wounded from a war in Afghanistan. In 2010, so did he. Even the texting fits: Holmes fired off telegrams constantly, the instant messages of an era often called the "Victorian internet."

John Candy had a warmth that very few actors ever manage to put on screen. The laughs were always there, but what made him special was how easily he could make a character feel kind, vulnerable, and completely human at the same time.

3 hours in and the ambience of this game STILL gets me. The cave system feels exactly how it should... ominous. 👀 - The atmosphere is incredible 🌑 - Evolution screen stays true to the original 🧬 - Modern touches without losing that classic feel 🎮 Though still in early access, it's been such a blast! I cant wait for more updates 🔥

LeBron fans are the first to normalize the celebration of losing over winning as a coping mechanism. "You play to win", Derek Jeter has the mentality of a winner. Jeter: "How do you rate losing? I never understood it, *it feels better cause we made it to the worlds series and lost* why does it feel better? I never understood that, i really don't get that." Host: You accomplished something by at least getting to the world series.... Jeter: "What did you accomplish? you lost..."

An MIT professor fired a gun in a lecture hall to teach students one formula. The recording is online. The topic sounds boring on paper: velocity and acceleration. Then he pulls out a rifle. He wants the speed of a bullet. No modern sensors, just two wires and a timer. He makes the room do the math first, counts down from three and shoots. The number on the screen settles it. After that he brings up Sherlock Holmes. A scene where a man falls on a marble floor and Holmes announces the skull is crushed. The professor explains why that moment is flawless physics, and why a bald head made it worse. You will never watch that scene the same way. There are also eggs and a tomato. They do not survive. Same physics as the skull. One gunshot, one detective, one dead tomato. All in the video.

After Brian Grazer stood up expecting Apollo 13 to win Best Picture, Braveheart was announced instead. Then a studio chairman looked at him and said, “Loser.” Humiliated, Brian collapsed into his seat beside Tom Hanks, Ron Howard, and Apollo 13 astronaut Jim Lovell. Then Lovell reached across both men, grabbed Brian’s wrist, and gave him the perspective that instantly made losing an Oscar feel small.

WATCH: Dr. Umar completely STUNNED The Breakfast Club when he perfectly exposed how Democrats are importing illegals because they're losing the black vote "We ain't gonna be motivated to vote for him November. So what he's gonna do is have these migrants already set up with citizenship so they can replace the black vote that he loses. The migrants are being put in our communities on purpose..." Love him or hate him, Umar is forcing a lot of black people to wake up This is what Elon Musk and many other patriots across the country have been saying

People worry that AI is going to replace art because you can make some garbage action movie without having to use all the traditional ways of making a garbage action movie. I just think it’s going to evolve things. People will start to see that modern movies are often actually kind of corny. AI or not. And then maybe people will get to back to telling real stories. Get away from some of the storytelling techniques that have consumed film over the last 20 years. Anyway, here’s my new movie I made it this morning. #Ai

This scene does a great job of building tension without rushing the moment. You can feel that something is about to go wrong, especially from the way the characters interact and the atmosphere around them. What makes it interesting is the uncertainty—you’re left wondering what decision will be made next and how far the situation is about to escalate. Sometimes the quiet moments before the chaos are what make a scene memorable.🎥

The clarity of the image is really impressive and without the 3D you get a really good scope of how big these screens actually are but that’s what the attraction has become now, just a giant impressive screen without any real immersion. I understand this works better for studio tour operations not having to clean glasses and what not but I think it’s time to do away with these giant (non-3D) screen buildings on the backlot. If they replace the old Supercharged building with something and reuse the screens that will most likely not utilize 3D either. It just feels like what’s the point anymore? It’s not the worst but I think it’s just time to tear them down and build something new Universal Studios Hollywood

Justin Rogers says the Eagles losing Milton Williams & Josh Sweat and then trading for Jaelan Phillips would be the equivalent of the Lions letting Jameson Williams go then trading for Hollywood Brown: “To me the Phillips trade is the equivalent of saying we can’t afford Jamo. We let him go in free agency … And then saying, oh shit in the middle of the season we need speed & trading for Hollywood Brown … That’s the equivalent of what the Eagles did & we are celebrating Howie Roseman … How would you feel if Brad Holmes was letting his star players go & then trading 3rd-round picks for patchwork?”

remember how jun considered a gopro an essential item because he just loves filming content for his fans & sharing experiences ☹️ it became a way for him to be able to share content whenever he wants without having to wait for the company to release anything :/ and gave him full control over what he chooses to share, he’s really so thoughtful and is always thinking about how he can make his fans feel apart of what he does

"I don't think I've ever understood Portuguese as well as I did that night." Matthew McConaughey tells Howard about the first time he met his wife, Camila Alves. Matthew is smart and knows how to tell a story so naturally and interestingly! Matthew knew Camila was the one when she didn't instantly swoon over his movie-star charm. She made him work for her attention, and that exact challenge is what made him realize he couldn't let her go. 👑✨ via Stern Show

This Mercedes-Benz ad, "Satellite of Love," was fully made with AI, but that’s not what stood out to me the most. It imagines a future where tech keeps evolving without feeling cold or distant, and instead feels playful and connected. It also got me thinking about generative AI in creativity. As these tools get better, what if they don’t replace people, but actually help us tell human stories in new ways? Anyway, I really love this ad. It’s beautiful, optimistic, and just the kind of energy I needed to kick off the New Year. ❤️🥂🎉

You know why I dislike Lanterns' John and his parents... Because his character has already been made, the dude is literally just human Ragnar... the only difference is that Ragnar was written by people who actually understood morality and had lived life... not race baiters who will never address the negatives of Jihn existence because they're close AGAIN, giving him Kyle Rayner's story as the CHOSEN ONE because black guy in modern Hollywood... You are not owed anything in life besides the certainties of DEATH and what you make with your own hands.

This video hit hard. 😭 A wife opens up from her car about losing her husband — her best friend of 17 years — on July 11th. She talks about how mental illness is cruel and how it lies, convincing people they’re a burden and that everyone would be better off without them. She tried everything to show him he was loved, heard, and seen, but the pain was too much for him to feel it. Her message is simple and direct: reach out if you notice someone struggling. Check on people. Make sure they feel welcome, loved, heard, and seen. She says she doesn’t want another family to go through this. If you’re struggling right now, you are not a burden. You matter. Call or text 988.
