You can't traumatize a kid because your feelings get hurt. Let the kid grow up a little. He'll know the difference. He'll always know who his real Mom is.

She's divorced, I don't know the circumstances but woman initiate divorce at a higher rate than men, this is the reality she lives in now and she'll have to find a way to deal with it without putting her kids in the middle.

She’s overreacting. He’s re-married now, meaning he has a step-mother. I’d understand it if the woman in question was a “Girlfriend”, but he’s married meaning she is going to fill a gap when they’re with the father. She need not stress over petty, trivial things. It’s foolish.

I would be livid. My children have never once called their stepdad…dad. My boys are blessed to have two wonderful men in their lives but I would never take that respect away from their real dad. Now it’s another thing if something has happened to one of the parents and they’re no longer around. That would be completely up to my kids what they want to refer to them as.

Most basic parenting plans forbid the use of mother and father for persons other than the mother and father. This is wrong

By being a better mother and stop using her child’s situation as a vessel for social media clout. I’m sure her flipper-handed audience will continue boost her regardless

I have personal experience with this from the child's perspective. Let's just say it didn't go well and I am 50 and literally JUST told the story to someone a few days ago...because the damage caused by not handling this well lasts a lifetime. She needs to keep all of this between herself and herself and grow the f up.

When you get divorced your kids might end up with two sets of parents. Does she think she’s the first to experience this? GTF OVER IT!
