Part of what they're asking for is the port not to automate processes currently performed by union workers. That's a losing argument. Automation allows for significant cost savings that trickles down to consumers. We can't continue living in the past and neither can they.

Yep, especially when Truck drivers are pissed at the unions because most of the times the workers are lazy and don’t do their job, holding up the lines and flow.

Chemical Plants exploding in GA 3. Longshoremen on strike from Maine to Houston 4. Teamsters on strike on the west coast 5. Fuel shortages (the strategic reserve is almost out of fuel) and food could be next 6. We're running short on munitans for the military since we're giving it all away. 7. War in the Middle East 8. War in Europe (could get worse) 9. The border is wide open and the effects are just starting to get worse. 10. POTUS is MIA and the VP is just lost 11. Congress is splintered and can't work together... And, it will probably get worse before it gets better...

One would think the teamsters could place their strike on the back burner for now and focus on what the disruption will cause to the relief efforts for all those suffering from the apocalyptic devastation of Helene.

I’m not sure which side I’m on… the unions are ridiculous… but so is everyone else involved. … the bottom line is that the it doesn’t matter which side wins, the only side that will lose is the consumer. We will pay dearly for this.
