❓Why is this happening to our students? ❓What exactly have our students done to have security forces aiming weapons at them? 🔹 They are protesting peacefully. They are voicing their demands and asking for what the country owes them. They are not committing any crime. 🔹They are simply asking for an education system that works fairly, and they do not have one. 👉 Students have died by suicide. Just before I came here, I had a chat with some of the students. Some students from the 7th grade interacted with me, and I asked them who was their best teacher. And a girl mentioned Alice Ma'am. Then I asked them why she is a good teacher. They immediately answered that she listens to them, she teaches them with love and affection, she is kind to them, and she allows them to have fun while studying. Now, if you want to teach somebody or if you want to learn, you need an atmosphere like the one Alice Ma'am has created for the students: one of love, affection and respect and where people can listen to each other and be kind. That's exactly my fight as well. Faculty Mediators are certainly doing more harm than good by telling students that President "Rosenbury is just a fundraiser. She doesn't care about her students."
