The Welsh have a term, Hiraeth, which is best defined as a deep bittersweet longing for a time, or place, that no longer exists. Watching this made me feel that.

A lot of people don’t believe that Walmart in this era was a middle class store.

If you grew up in an all white mountain town, you were able to enjoy this experience without the last 10 seconds

Games and electronics just sitting out. 24 hr Walmart, we don’t know how well we had it

Blacks still wreck it at the end ffs

Damn I really hate how time flew by so quick, like WTF 2006 already looking like the late 90s already.

Walmart used to be magical.

I can almost smell the old styled McDonalds fries from the restaurant in the store.

I was graduating HS and in college in this era. It’s like it was yesterday. Time is weird.

ngl seeing everything not locked up is crazy😭

Today Wal Mart is a depository for the refuse of society, staffed by dead eyed cheap labor who will watch a homeless guy take a shit on the floor like it’s just another Tuesday.

I'm so thankful for all these collections of news channel B roll from before the era of smartphone cameras.

Now at my Walmart everything is locked up behind glass including the toothpaste. I wonder why that is.

Blacks were obnoxious back then too.

Indoor game demos🥹 take me back😢

This is the best cuz it feels like I was there doing that, oh yes cuz I was, and some Walmarts had singles night too meet other people,.good ol times 😁🤙🏽

Never forget what they took from us.

I forgot Walmart used to be 24 hours

miss those late night walmart runs, used to feel surreal

Look at those shelves, they're stuffed to the brim, not a single bare shelf in sight. There's just so much more stuff to buy compared to now.

I remember how people hated Walmart how it was taking everyone jobs away from small businesses owners. Now nobody can’t find a job.

Gen Z will never understand what America once was. A terrible crime.

this was a thing up until covid

It’s no different than today what the fuck are you talking about.

I appreciate a lot of these 90s/00s videos of mundane things but let's not pretend Walmart was ever not Walmart.

Man, I miss the PS2 and OG Xbox era of gaming. Peak.

Instead of nice things like this we now have niggerhell

Fashion from 2001-2007 was terrible.

Take me back meh!... Indoor games...damn!

I got the same model GBA that kid is holding in his hand 😭

By God or by Will alone we'll have this era back

This reminded me of when I would go to Toys R Us in the 90s, i would be so excited to get one or two star wars action figures that were like $8 each at the time, or a video game for Super Nintendo, those were around $40. I remember I would get so excited when I saved $40.

In college we got fried and went to go play dodgeball in Walmart at like 1am, most fun shit ever I promise you !😂

That kid with the Nintendo SD is probably in his 40s now

@JessInTune I wanna go back. Things were fun then
