Dr. Zakir Naik talks about female education in Afghanistan while answering a question (summary); There is lots of misinformation in the media when it comes to Afghanistan. Girls are allowed to study until year 6, everyone can get their primary education, but after year 6, they are saying that the situation in Afghanistan is not very safe for women, so when the situation improves, and a more suitable environment is reached, then they may continue to higher education. As for Islamic studies, women can study up to PhD, there is no restriction in this area. They may not have a certain higher education of the Western world, therefore assuming that they believe higher education is wrong, then this is a misinformation. As for secondary education, they don’t have the facilities, they don’t have female teachers, so they are waiting for a more suitable environment. If some delays the education till they have the right teachers, then there is no problem at all. But the delay should not be too much…
