Should drivers be allowed to drive through protestors blocking the road?

I was taught as a little kid to never play in traffic. That advice has served me well for my entire life. I’m guessing these people didn’t get that message from their fathers

The road is for vehicles, protest in front of a government building respectfully and peacefully. Instead of looking for something else to complain about

That's the wrong question, since it's already illegal to WALK in the middle of the street.

Intentionally blocking a road should be an immediate arrest. Criminal judges should be able to require restitution based on total wasted man-hours, cost of fuel, etc. Also, blockers should be liable for time and damages in civil court.
