It so odd now to see a young lad with communication skills like this. Many young refs simply blow a whistle and grunt now and again - I don’t knock them as fair play for stepping up but, those who can help young players develop are gold.

This is how referees should be coached in to managing games from as younger age as they show an interest in doing the role. The rules should be secondary to managing the game at the earliest my ages
