While it is still not planned for release (potential for future update), a simple change in camera position to over shoulder shows how versatile the setup is by using one set of animations etc. Almost passes for third person without any additional work and gives a better view of the omni-directional sliding and diving. I currently use it just for testing what other players will looks like. Animations are still very WIP.

This is the brand-new Android version of X that was force-updated on my phone just 5 minutes ago. The new UI and animations are now officially rolling out. So far, I think it looks pretty good. The overall experience feels more lively and modern. Also, there's no way to switch back to the old version anymore, which means this is the final public release rather than a test build. What do you think of the redesign?

This week we’re getting GPT 5.5 and I couldn’t be more excited to see the first new pre train base in a while Before Spud releases, here’s the last video you need to watch - Greg Brockman perfectly indicated to us 3 important things that perfectly encapsulate the lineage of OpenAI and the mission. 1.This is the culmination of 2 years of research and is a fresh base pre-train that we haven’t gotten for a long time. 2.This is an “exciting release” and it will bring new capabilities (sort of a given but still very grateful nonetheless) & that it is AN EARLY VERSION of what we have coming - meaning they have a lot of RL to do to make this model even better since it’s a fresh pre-train. 3.THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FLYWHEEL. You get a better deal today, at least at a particular latency, using OpenAI's models than Kimi. We distill our own models. That’s how we make smaller, cheaper models. That’s a very good thing to do. There will clearly be an important place for open source models in the world and people that will want their own weights. We have so much usage of our models that we do not need to be a gigantically high-margin business to be able to afford model training. I would rather people not distill from us, for sure. But this is not in my top ten list of worries.”

NEW and UPDATE BATTLE UI! • Enemy Pokemon ARE CLOSER TO THE SCREEN NOW • HP Bars are attached to the pokemon instead of filling the screen (Looks better for doubles or 1v10+) • Battle Actions button design changed to be more square (Old design made sense for the old borders) • Moves match the battle actions but also show the TYPING icons as well as color • Hovering over a move when the enemy pokemon is registered in the pokedex will reveal above its HP Bar if the move is effective or now • HP Bars visually reflect damage, they shake and flash and receive cracks depending on damage and then burst when HP drops to 0 • STAT Stages will show up as icons now to see in real time what the Pokemon are at so you can plan better * If a pokemon levels up or is ready to evolve, there will be an on screen notification to tell you

Alright guys, wow. Qwen 3.8 27B is basically Qwen 4. What we have here is one of the best one-shot shark survival games I've made with any model. I ran this same prompt through fable, and the biggest thing all models struggle with in this test is the top-down view of the sharks. Fable even had all of the fins reversed and details jumbled on the first turn. Before now, it was really a 2 to 8 turn test to get something final regardless of model. Qwen 3.8 27B just nailed this in one output, no harness at all, just purely the model thoroughly thinking before outputting the final result. On every asset used, different shark variants, everything, it all looks incredibly tight. The boat movement, shark speed and engagement, everything is so much better than I expected, and I was expecting a lot. Imagine what 8 turns would do in a harness? This confirms to me that while Qwen 3.8 27B thinks a lot, for the first time in a local model on the base weights, IT MIGHT ACTUALLY BE WORTH IT This is a Frontier Lab model result, and it ran on my 5090 at 60tps in Q5_K_M. I am just in complete astoundment at what Qwen has accomplished here, and I am incredibly grateful that this model is open source. The speed will also increase drastically with optimisations. This is just an incredible day. What a blessing. More to come!
