I don't understand why its necessary to only stick with Claude to just generate tasks files. Could have easily add Gemini support and works just fine.

Task Master CLI will makes Cursor 10x better at building projects. I created a full video demo of how it works. For those that don't want to watch. Here's what happens: 1️⃣ Install npm i task-master-ai CLI 2️⃣ Give it a description of your project. It will generate a PRD 3️⃣ It will then convert the PRD into tasks (10 detailed .txt files and a .json that acts as a local db to task track status) 4️⃣ Ask it to do a task. It will do the task and mark it off as done. Each task can also be broken down into small tasks using "expand" command. Following these steps it will build out an entire project. This is the future of dev and how tools like Manus work. But you can run it locally and follow step by step to make sure you're happy with what's happening. Seems a fitting to be posting about Task Master the day before Passover starts. Good job by Eyal Toledano who built this project.

Just gave a demo at Every 📧's Vibe Code Camp showing how I use a kanban board to stay sane while overseeing Claude Code agents😎 Here's a quick recap video showing the whole flow: 1) Monitor progress on all tasks in one view 2) See when Claude is blocked, and respond in context 3) Read Claude's plans with nice formatting, not raw Markdown 4) Use AI to process voice notes into structured tasks 5) Get explanations of code changes... with an interactive quiz to check if you understood 🙃 I've had mixed feelings about kanban workflows in the past, but as the agents get stronger I'm warming up to them—especially for churning through small well-specified tasks. In that context, it feels like the challenge is managing my working memory for what's going on. And having a stable "zoomed-out map" of all the tasks really helps me with offloading some of that cognitive load to a visualization of everything that's going on!

The #1 problem with coding agents right now: Ask them to solve one problem, and they will make 10 other changes you didn't want. This happens to me every day. It happens to everyone I talk to as well. We have a solution for this now. The team Augment Code released a "Task List" feature for their coding assistant that solves this problem. Augment Code is partnering with me on this post. In case you haven't used them before: • Augment Code is a fully-fledged coding assistant • Their specialty are large projects • Fastest coding indexing I've seen • Has a free forever community edition Now, you can ask their coding agent to generate a Task List before doing anything. This will give you a plan you can review, edit, and augment if you need to. You can export this plan, load it on a different session, or even share it across projects. It makes a huge difference: The task list constrains the agent so you won't get any "unintended" changes anymore. It also puts you in control of everything the agent does. You can basically have those agents write your code while you are sleeping.)

cursor continues to curate the most frictionless way to build software. - planned a new app idea with Cursor Agent (Laptop) - left cafe for gym so i hand off to Cloud Agent (Cloud) - mid workout, i get an msg that my PR is done (Email) - mid pump, i get a new idea. message Cursor via iphone to add it - monday morning comes. i already forgot about my app - cursor emails me w/ a 30 sec demo of agent clicking through the core feature. shows me that it works if you showed me this in 2022, i would have put my life savings into cursor stock immediately

✨New demo: what if vibe coding felt more visual? Brian Lovin Mary Rose Cook and I did a game jam using Notion as our "IDE": launching Cursor agents from a task board, and making a custom image for each task 😎 The demo shows 3 ideas for the future of agents: 1) Agents should collaborate across apps. Each app has its focus--Notion AI is good at drafting specs and organizing tasks; Cursor is good at coding. So let them specialize! Today we're launching a new integration where Notion AI can kick off Cursor Cloud Agents to do coding tasks. The Cursor API accepts natural language prompts, so I think of this as "cross-app sub-agents" -- it's kinda cute how it resembles humans hiring outside contractors 😊 BTW: the parallelism of cloud agents is incredibly freeing for creativity, but it also creates a new problem: sooo much work to keep track of! Which brings us to the next idea... 2) Agent orchestration is a data visualization problem. A powerful frame for designing agent UIs is to think of the chat transcripts as the "raw data" and ask: what visual projections might help people make sense of this data at scale? We need to engage our human GPUs -- our visual processing -- to understand what the computer GPUs are doing for us! One thing we can do is use AI to populate traditional UIs like progress bars and status updates. But there are also new possibilities now... For example: when you have a lot going on, it can be hard to identify tasks just by text titles. So we tried generating an AI image for each task -- turns out this helps a lot by giving it a unique visual identity! And of course, it also just makes it super fun to build with friends 😃 Speaking of friends... 3) The future of coding is collaborative. Cursor gets Perplexity API search tool while being FULLY AUTO CONTROLLED by Claude Computer use. So cursor performs web research! cursorrules and system prompt in comment Tool is just a function in tools .py file and you can add more tools of any kind as long as you update the cursorrules This was tricky because we are restricting comp use to certain coordinates for upper and lower input boxes. Luckily "run command" button also appears at the lower input box and its coordinates are fixed so we can use that to out advantage! You can download the source code by becoming a patron. link in comment essentially comp use is restricted to a limited action space and only 3 coordinates it can use. this way we are trying to ensure it doesn't do things we don't want and also make less mistakes(although mistakes do happen still both from comp use and from cursor although not much -------- If you are interested in learning how to use Cursor more in depth, I have a 28 chapter 1000x Cursor Course building full apps from scratch with 19 hours of content. link is in my bio if you are interested inspired partially by Stijn and Ryan O'Donnell (stijn mentioned in DM)

My vibe coding workflow has changed since I started using Cursor Plan + Opus 4.5 more extensively. Before: Break down tasks into micro-prompts with specific tasks Now: Write a longer feature scope > Plan mode: Ask for proposals > Review proposed plans > Build I'm able to build an Autobattler prototype in 3 days as a result. It has: - 8 mercenary classes to recruit and fight for you - Diablo 2-style Item generation system with 100s of thems with random affixes and rarities - Formation-based Turn-based Combat and spell systems - Procedural dungeon runs with randomised events and enemy battle encounters It's accelerating. I can feel it.

Write 100x better code using AI (for free!) Install the Codacy extension (VSCode, Cursor, WindSurf). This will install an MCP Server locally on your computer. Your coding copilot will use this server with the Codacy CLI to check every line of code it generates. The way this works is pretty awesome (assuming you are using Cursor): 1. You ask Cursor to generate some code 2. Cursor writes the code 3. Cursor then calls Codacy's MCP Server to check it 4. The MCP Server will use the Codacy CLI to find any issues 5. Cursor will fix the issues and call the MCP server again 6. When the code passes all checks, you are done Level of effort on your side: literally zero! Code quality and security because of this: 100x better!
